That’s a wrap. The NWA TV champion is starring in their first silver-screen role.

As reported in a Variety exclusive, Rob Blackhurst has wrapped on his upcoming horror movie “Dolly.”

Blackhurst was behind the Netflix Original, “Amanda Knox” and the independent film “Here Alone.” As a result of that success, Blackhust would garner multiple award nominations.

The NWA’s Nonbinary Nightmare Becomes a Horror Villaingtff

The upcoming film was shot in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Set deep in the Appalachian Mountains, this environment, according to the filmmakers, is a callback to 1970s horror.

Blackhurst was quoted as saying,

“We made ‘Dolly’ as an elegant and twisted fairytale born out of a deep love of genre films and wanting to see something insane that 13-year-old Rod would want to watch. This film is a renewed investment in our ethos as filmmakers and our proud tribe of misfits. And candidly, I really want to make my films ‘The White Room’ and ‘Die By Night’ and hope this will help that cause, so Hollywood, please call a fella.”

The leading role of the antagonist went to NWA Star Max the Impaler. This was a win over now NWA Women’s champion, Kenzie Paige.

The “Non-Binary” nightmare is also the reigning and defending men’s TV champion as well. Max claimed the TV title from Big Strong Matt Mims. Max defends either title in either division based on the gender identity of the challenger.

With both TV titles comes their ability to earn a shot at either world title. As a result, once Max hits seven defenses in either division, they earn a shot at either division’s title.
