This week’s episode of WWE NXT continues the build to NXT Heatwave. With the event taking place on Sunday, July 7, there are less than three weeks to go for the NXT Superstars to make a case for themselves to be featured on the card.
This week’s show features a few matches that could shake things up, and it could also reveal the lengths people are willing to go to in order to get what they want. Here is all you need to know ahead of the June 18 edition of NXT.
WWE NXT Full Match Card:
- NXT Women’s North American Championship Match: Kelani Jordan (c) vs. Michin
- NXT Championship #1 Contenders Battle Royal Match
- Triple-Threat Tag Team Match: Roxanne Perez & Lola Vice vs. Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson vs. Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nyx

Kelani Jordan made history at NXT Battleground when she became the inaugural NXT Women’s North American champion. To get there, Jordan defeated five other worthy contenders in a ladder match when NXT took over the UFC APEX.
On the June 18 edition of NXT, Jordan will be making her first title defense against one of her ladder match opponents – Michin. This match could set the pace for Jordan’s reign, as she hopes to make her mark in the women’s division. But Michin looks to end the party early and claim the title for herself.
NXT Championship #1 Contenders Battle Royal
On the June 11 NXT, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes made a special appearance on the show. The champion took the time to pass on some words of wisdom to NXT Champion Trick Williams.
One of the things that Rhodes announced was that the June 18 NXT will feature a 25-man Battle Royal match to determine Williams’ next title challenger. The twist to this match is that it could (and will most probably) feature talent from the NXT roster and beyond.
This could witness a continuation of the relationship between the WWE and TNA, as members of each roster have made appearances on the other’s shows. The winner of this match will challenge Williams at Heatwave on Sunday, July 7. This will be the match to watch.
