Preview: WWE Raw (4/22/24) – Women’s World Championship Battle Royal + World Tag Titles

A match graphic for WWE Raw.

WWE Raw takes place at the Schottenstien Center in Ohio the day after Toto played the venue.

Hold the line because two major WWE Raw titles are on the line.

WWE will crown a brand new Women’s World Champion on this week’s WWE Raw.

The “Awesome Truth” also defends their WWE World Tag Team Championship for the first time since their WrestleMania 40 victory.

WWE Monday Night Raw airs live from the Schottenstien Center, in Columbus, Ohio at 8ET on the USA Network.

Match Card WWE Raw (4/22/24)

WWE World Tag Team Championship

At 52, R-Truth has been an inspiration during his latest WWE run. He finally got his WrestleMania moment when he captured the Tag Team gold with The Miz. He’s received love from live fans, on social media, and even publically by Paul “Triple H” Levesque

Everyone loves R-Truth. Tommaso Ciampa seems to be tired of the joke that R-Truth believes he is Triple H. Ciampa and Johnny Gargano won a triple threat match to earn their shot at “The Awesome Truth” this week.

Perhaps, Ciampa could harness his frustrations and cause the ultimate upset.

New World Women’s Champion Crowned In Battle Royal

A brand new WWE Women’s World Champion will be crowned in a massive battle royal.

Rhea Ripley vacated the championship, last week, ending a 380-day run with the title. Ripley will be out of action for months following a backstage assault by Liv Morgan

Morgan was sidelined for six months last year after an injury caused by Ripley. Morgan is the favorite to win the championship suggesting sometimes two wrongs can make a right.

The battle royal format plays to the advantages of Nia Jax. This makes her a smart bet for the second most likely to win the gold.

The Man & The Other Contenders

Becky Lynch hasn’t been on TV since her WrestleMania 40 loss to Ripley. She worked dates on the WWE’s UK tour last week and is confirmed for the Championship battle royal match.

Outside of these three favorites: Chelsea Green will demand Adam Pearce puts her in the match. Candice LeRae has experienced recent success off the back of a nefarious turn. Indi Hartwell seems back on the same page as LaRae, so could provide some heavy backup. But they’ll need to keep an eye on Maxxine Dupri and Ivy Nile who will be looking for retribution against “The Way”.

Shayna Baszler could see this as the perfect time for her to win a single title on the main roster for the first time since her 2020 WWE Raw debut. Also included in the trailer for the match were Natalya, Katana Chance, Zoey Stark, Kayden Carter, Tegan Nox, Piper Niven and Xia Li.

Li has since been released by the WWE.
