The Rock And Roman Reigns Try To Vanquish Cody Rhodes And Seth Rollins

Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes are set to run it back just over a year since their match at WrestleMania 39. This time though, things are a little more challenging – at least for Rhodes. The Rock returned to WWE television earlier this year and, although he initially seemed to be on the same side as Rhodes, he quickly switched sides to align himself with his cousin Reigns.

On night one of WrestleMania 40, Rhodes enlists the help of World Heavyweight Champion Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins to take on the two powerhouses. Although Reigns and Rhodes are the focal point, Rock and Rollins also play an integral part in the match, as they could be the game-changers.

Whoever walks out the victor on night one will have the advantage of whether the match will be Bloodline Rules or have the entirety of the stable banned. Rhodes has been speaking about finishing the story for many months now, with even the WWE 2K game taking it on as a slogan, and this could be his shot at finally doing so.

On the flip side of that, The Rock has made it crystal clear that he will do all that he can to ensure that does not happen, and this could be Rhodes’ last shot at even doing so. This match will have a direct impact on night two’s main event and, as a result, wrestling fans will not want to miss it.

Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill And Naomi Link Up Against Damage CTRL

Since Bayley was kicked out of Damage CTRL, the rest of the stable has been wreaking havoc throughout the rest of the women’s division. With Asuka and Kairi Sane as the Women’s Tag Team Champions, Iyo Sky as the WWE Women’s Champion, and Dakota Kai effectively serving as the mouthpiece of the group, they are essentially untouchable.

But a powerful group has banded together, and they could be exactly what silences the stable. Bianca Belair has been fighting Damage CTRL by herself since the group’s inception but, in recent weeks, others have taken issue with the group’s ways.

With the arrival of Naomi and Jade Cargill at this year’s Royal Rumble, two new superstars got added to SmackDown, where Damage CTRL predominantly appears. After a couple of weeks of building it up, Cargill emerged to assist Belair and Naomi against the stable, and it was confirmed the three would team up against Kai, Asuka, and Sane.

The six-woman tag team match has the potential to steal WWE WrestleMania 40 night one, and it could very well be the highlight of the entire weekend. A blend of experience and rising star power, this match has all the workings of a mega match that will give a glimpse into the future of the women’s division.

An All-Uso Brotherly Love Match

At WrestleMania 39, The Usos got the opportunity to accomplish a lifelong dream of theirs – to main event WrestleMania. What made it all the more better was getting to do so together. Now, a year later, they get to be on the big stage once more but they do so against each other this time.

Over the last year, so much has changed, with the biggest change being Jey leaving The Bloodline and moving over to Raw. Jey has tried over and over to move on and do great things by himself but, every time he gets close to achieving things, his brother Jimmy finds a way to prevent it.

Philadelphia is the ‘City of Brotherly Love’, and it is only right that it becomes the place where Jey and Jimmy go against each other. Whilst the rest of the family – Rock and Reigns – focus on their own stories, the twins will look to settle their differences in the ring.

This match is a unique one, especially at WrestleMania, as it will be one filled with passion and love for one another but also juxtaposed by their clear disdain for each other’s actions over the last year. This will be an all-Uso affair, and it can be expected that it will have its fair amount of shenanigans but it will also be quite the emotional rollercoaster.

Sami Zayn Attempts To Dethrone Gunther

Gunther has held the WWE Intercontinental Championship for over 665 days, making him the longest-reigning titleholder by a long mile. For months now, the question has been asked several times: Who will be the one to dethrone Gunther? Challengers continue to come his way, and Gunther just continuously clears the hurdle of each one.

Sami Zayn recently gained the opportunity to challenge for the title, and he is looking to gain the championship for the fourth time in his career.

Gunther has a stronghold on the title, and he is not looking to drop the gold anytime soon. With the dominance he has displayed, Gunther has come to underestimate his opponents at times, and Zayn is looking to pull a major upset.

Being trained by Chad Gable, who came dangerously close to dethroning Gunther, Zayn is laser-focused on being the one to take the gold off of the champion. This match will be a display of grit and determination, and will be a great watch all around.
