Preview: WWE WrestleMania SmackDown (4/5/24)

This week’s special WWE WrestleMania SmackDown edition of everyone’s favorite Friday night sports entertainment show marks the last stop before WrestleMania XL. WWE has organized a massive show, making this installment an extension of sorts for the actual “Showcase of the Immortals” WrestleMania 40,

Two hours of unfiltered action and unforgettable moments leading up to the biggest Premium Live Event of the year. With all of that out of the way, here’s a preview of the special ‘WrestleMania‘ edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown. Let’s run it down.

Remembering A “Giant” of the Industry

To make the biggest WrestleMania even bigger, WWE will hold its 10th Andre The Giant Battle Royal on this week’s WWE WrestleMania SmackDown. Nine men have won this event, most of them went on to become champions in their own right.

With the ‘larger than life’ honor of winning the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, every competitor in this gigantic bout will go out of their way to be the one to stand tall aside the trophy dedicated to one of the best and most imposing giants the WWE has ever seen.

Who will win this war and propel their careers forward?

Brutal Bloodline Battle

Ahead of the WrestleMania XL battle between Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso, the former will battle with another sibling in the form of the enforcer of The Bloodline, and his youngest brother, Solo Sikoa. For years, all three, and their ‘Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns, were as thick as thieves, running roughshod over the WWE.

Now, only a couple of years later, the discourse around The Bloodline has led to Jey detaching himself from this bond and fighting his own battles, now involving both of his brothers. Sikoa has pledged his allegiance to The Bloodline and will stop at nothing to keep the supposed peace.

Unfortunately, he will have to go through his brother to keep things in order. As most assume, Jey Uso will go into this with a heavy heart. But, The Bloodline has pushed him far enough that there is no other way. Will Jey Uso head into ‘Mania with momentum? Or will Solo Sikoa emphatically wound his flesh and blood?
