This week’s WWE SmackDown will be exciting as it is the first Blue brand show after the massively successful Elimination Chamber PLE in Perth, Australia. Post-Elimination Chamber, the WWE Universe, and its superstars are well and truly on the road to the “Grandest Stage of them All” WrestleMania XL.
That said, we have a few major stops along the way, including this one which will feature the return of ‘The Great One’ to WWE Friday Night SmackDown. Plus, former allies go at it in tag-team action. There’s a lot more coming your way. So, strap yourselves in for another preview of WWE SmackDown.
Let’s run it down.

It looks like the original incarnation of Damage CTRL, which was once composed of leader Bayley, Dakota Kai, and IYO SKY, is now over. With Bayley challenging SKY at WrestleMania 40 for the WWE Women’s Championship, it seems like there’s no stopping the implosion of the mighty faction.
On this week’s SmackDown, we will see the old battle the new as The Kabuki Warriors take on Bayley, and after nine long months out of action, Dakota Kai in tag team action. Bayley still does not trust Dakota one bit. However, she has no choice but to form an uneasy alliance and win this match to build momentum going into ‘Mania.
Will Asuka and Kairi Sane fall at the hands of the OG Damage CTRL members? Or will Bayley’s suspicions turn out to be true and Dakota Kai is indeed not on her side?

After aligning himself officially with The Bloodline, the ‘Brahma Bull’ The Rock returns to Friday Night SmackDown. At Elimination Chamber, the ‘American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes aired out his grievances against the ‘People’s Champ.’
To put it simply, he felt disrespected when he was slapped flush across the face by The Rock. As such, Rhodes is challenging him to a match; anytime and anywhere. It seems like The Rock heard those sentiments and will visit the Blue brand this week to reply to the open challenge.
How will The Rock respond to Cody’s challenge, and what more does he have to say to the WWE Universe? Find out and more on this week’s exhilarating edition of WWE SmackDown only on Fox!
