The Road to WrestleMania took a stop at the 2024 Elimination Chamber in Perth, Australia. Six omen entered the chamber but only one was the winner. The 6 contenders faced off in an elimination chamber match to determine Rhea Ripley’s opponent at WrestleMania for the Raw Women’s World Championship.
Although that superstar’s path is set for ‘Mania let’s take a look at the possibilities for what’s in store for the six chamber participants for the Women’s division.
The Possible Paths for the Women’s Elimination Chamber Participants
Winner: Becky Lynch
Becky Lynch entered the Chamber at one and won the whole thing by eliminating Liv Morgan. Because of that Lynch’s spot is secured for WrestleMania against Ripley for the Women’s championship.
Ripley and Lynch have faced each other only a handful of times and each time Lynch has gotten the best of Ripley. This time however, we see Ripley as champ instead of Lynch. Ripley has held the championship for 330 days and counting.
Lynch is a four time SmackDown Women’s champion, a two time Raw Women’s champion, a WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, and an NXT Women’s Champion.
She is also the 2019 Royal Rumble Winner. The point “The Man” Becky Lynch is just as dominating if not more than the current champion Rhea Ripley.
What seems like a year of both superstars skirting from one another throwing glares and glances, they can’t avoid each other any longer. This match has been in the making for around a year now and at WrestleMania we finally get to see it. Lynch’s spot is secure but what about the returning Naomi?
Naomi
The returning superstar was the first eliminated in the Elimination Chamber match by Tiffany Stratton. She did not take the elimination well as she went on social media to call out Stratton. Maybe a feud between the stars will culminate at WrestleMania.
It would be a great match to test the up and comer from NXT Stratton against a former two time SmackDown Women’s champion in Naomi. Naomi has had three matches since returning to WWE. The Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber qualifying match, and the Elimination Chamber itself.
A very very crazy idea would be to pair Naomi with Nia Jax to face the Kabuki Warriors for the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles. Jax is related to the Bloodline members and because Naomi is married to Jimmy Uso she is also family.
They could even bring both female wrestlers into The Bloodline and make the faction more dominant. There’s not much else to go by off for the returning superstar but what about for Tiffany Stratton.
Tiffany Stratton
It’s been about a month since Stratton made her main roster debut on Friday Night SmackDown. She had an impressive showing at the Elimination Chamber eliminating Naomi before she got pinned by Liv Morgan. As suggested above we could see a rivalry between Naomi and Stratton. Another suggestion could be the return of the Women’s Battle Royale at WrestleMania.
This match was discontinued after the 2019 Battle Royale due to COVID. Now that WWE have a lot of stars and potential stars in the Women’s division maybe it is time to bring it back. Stratton winning the Battle Royale could do wonders for her career. Since Tiffany Stratton has not been on the main roster for much those are the best possibilities for her for a ‘Mania match but what about for Raquel Rodriguez?
Raquel Rodriguez
The powerhouse Raquel Rodriguez returned on Raw after an injury and won the last chance battle royal to qualify for the Elimination Chamber.
Even after being gone she did really good in the chamber before being eliminated by Bianca Belair. Raquel is an interesting one, a reunion with Liv Morgan could be in the works. Both women could take on the Kabuki Warriors for the WWE Women’s Tag Team championship. Liv and Raquel are a two time Women’s Tag Team championship in their own right. So a reunion could be in the works.
The other match that could make sense for Raquel is against Nia Jax. Jax and Raquel are both powerhouses and dominant superstars in the ring. A one on one between both could be a way to keep both stars at ‘Mania. A showdown to see who the most dominant superstar is would be great to see. Now let’s take a look at the person who eliminated Raquel, Bianca Belair.
Bianca Blair
Bianca Belair was eliminated by Liv Morgan in the Elimination Chamber. Even though Bianca is not in the title picture for ‘Mania it won’t be WrestleMania without the EST of WWE. Bianca two time WWE Raw Women’s champion and a one time SmackDown Women’s champion. There is only one opponent in mind for Bianca and that should be none other than Jade Cargill.
The former AEW superstar made her WWE debut at the Royal Rumble. In the Rumble she had a little stare down with Bianca. Both are two of the most popular and best superstars in the Women’s division.
Why not have both of them go at it at ‘Mania. They would absolutely steal the show. This match can establish Jade as a threat and it can bring Bianca back into the main event fold. Now let’s take a look at the final contender, Liv Morgan.
Liv Morgan
This has been a tough year for Morgan. She just came back from injury at the Rumble and she can’t catch a break. In the Rumble she was in the final two with Bayley. Liv eliminated Cargill who then got surprised by Bayley and took her out. Same thing happened at the Elimination Chamber. Liv pinned Bianca and then Becky took advantage to win the match. Both times Liv has come up short.
Like I said before Liv could come back to reunite with Raquel to go for the tag team titles. I could also see Liv Morgan go one on one with Tiffany Stratton. This match would be entertaining with two different styles. Liv Morgan could also have a match with Bianca or Cargill. One thing’s for sure Liv should not be a part from Mania. Maybe Liv will make her way into the match with Becky to make it a triple threat?
Whatever happens all six participants deserve to be at WrestleMania one way or another. Whatever happens WrestleMania 40 is going to be one to look forward too.
