All-Time WWE Elimination Chamber Performers

Triple H in the WWE Elimination Chamber.

The Elimination Chamber has been a staple of WWE programming since 2002. The gimmick match debuted at the Survivor Series, seeing a returning Shawn Michaels win his final world championship. It was a great night that started a 22-year stretch where the Elimination Chamber has created intrigue and excitement amongst the WWE Universe.

For over 22 years, there have been 32 chamber matches that feature a who’s who of WWE talent. If you were competing for a world championship anytime since 2002, there was a great chance that you would be involved in the match that contains four pods and nearly 2 miles of chains.

Of the many talents who have had the pleasure, or bad luck, to be in the match, there have been some who have separated themselves. Some have performed so well in the chamber that they deserve our recognition. Here are the five wrestlers who can lay claim to the greatest Elimination Chamber participants in WWE history.

Triple H

There may be no more prolific chamber performer than the current boss of WWE. Credited with coming up with the idea of an Elimination Chamber match, Trips was the cornerstone of the match. After its introduction, Triple H was one of the participants in the majority of matches. Overall, he has appeared in 6 chamber matches, more than all three wrestlers in company history.

Being in the matches was not just enough for Triple H. He has been the focal point of every match that he is in, either coming in as the champion or leaving as the title holder in most of the matches. It is here that he sets himself apart from the field. The Game has managed to walk away victorious in 4 of his six chamber appearances. That is a record that no one has broken and may never break.

In those appearances, Triple H was responsible for seven eliminations, which is second on the all-time list. He was a man who came in, dominated, and won. It is a run of dominance that may never be repeated.

Chris Jericho

Jericho has always been a great upper-card talent with WWE. There wasn’t a time when he couldn’t have been easily slotted into the world title picture. Because of this, he was usually used as a participant in the chamber. He instantly added credibility to the match and was guaranteed to have a great spot, or two, during the matches.

Y2J may not have the greatest track record in the chamber match, winning only 1 of his eight appearances, but his stats in the match speak for themselves. His eight chamber matches are first all-time, as are his ten eliminations. No other competitor has hit double digits in eliminations.

While not winning a big percentage of the matches, Jericho still managed to stay relevant during the contests. He was never going to be a throw-away wrestler during the match. He was at his best inside the chamber and didn’t get the love he deserved in the history of the Elimination Chamber.

John Cena

John Cena dominated decades of WWE programming. If there was an available gimmick match, there was a good chance that Cena was a top performer. This includes the Elimination Chamber.

Being a top guy, Cena was always going to have a great record in the match. Winning 3 of 7 appearances is impressive, but it was his presence in the contest that should be commended. Cena was the favorite of any match he was in and always turned in a great performance. He was the one to beat and would usually be the last competitor eliminated from the match.

In 2 out of his three chamber wins, Cena was either retaining the WWE Championship or walking out as the winner. In the other match, he won the right to challenge for the world championship. When the stage got the biggest, Cena showed up and sealed his legacy. A legacy of one of the all-time great chamber performers.

Shayne Baszler

The female version of the Elimination Chamber has not been around for a very long time, but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t had a chance to showcase some great performers. There have been various strong performances, but none hold a candle to the domination of Shayna Baszler.

Baszler has only been in one Elimination Chamber match, but that didn’t stop her from cutting through the field.  The match was for a chance to challenge the Raw Women’s Champion at Wrestlemania 36, but frankly, there was no other woman who had a chance.

Baszler was the fourth entrant into the match, and throughout 20 minutes, she eliminated every woman in the match. These women include Asuka, Liv Morgan, Natalya, Ruby Riott, and Sara Logan, not exactly a list of weak performers. What’s more impressive is that she submitted all of those women, which is a harder thing to do. It was one of the most remarkable performances in the history of the Elimination Chamber.

Daniel Bryan

The American Dragon may well be the best technical wrestler of our generation, well, any generation, for that matter. He is money anytime he steps into the squared circle, and there shouldn’t be much of a question that he was going to make his way onto this list at some point.

Bryan has always been great inside the chamber. He matched up well against everyone he stood across from and provided for some of the best wrestling that the chamber match has seen since its inception.

When Bryan hasn’t been out wrestling everyone in sight, he has managed to amass one of the more impressive records in chamber history. Throughout his 5 Elimination Chamber performances, Bryan has walked away the victor in three of them. That gives him an efficiency rate of 60 percent, a rate that no one can say they have. No one wins these matches at a greater rate than Daniel Bryan.
