Trick Williams Finally Gets His Shot Against Ilja Dragunov

Trick Williams won the 2023 Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge at the Deadline PLE, and he was immediately on the fast track to challenging Ilja Dragunov for the NXT Champion.

The two were originally slated to meet at the New Year’s Evil special edition of NXT but, following an injury sustained by Dragunov, their meeting was pushed back. Dragunov made his return and offered the opportunity to Williams, and he gladly accepted.

The opportunity is a major one for Williams as he hopes to ascend to the top of the mountain but Dragunov will not be an easy chess piece to topple over. Dragunov is determined to keep the gold in his firm grasp but that will not be the only challenge that Williams will face that night.

With another high-stakes match happening for him, this is only one of two matches that Williams will need to have his focus on come February 4.

Roxanne Perez Looks To Spoil Lyra Valkyria’s Reign

Lyra Valkyria is proving herself to be a fighting champion as she continuously dares the women to step up and challenge for her NXT Women’s Championship. Such an instance came when Valkyria put together a 20-woman battle royal on an episode of NXT, with the winner receiving a title shot. The person who ultimately won that bout was Roxanne Perez, and the two agreed to meet at Vengeance Day.

Perez won the NXT Women’s Championship in late 2022 and held the gold for 108 days. A victory against Valkyria would not only ascend Perez to the top of the women’s division but also see her become only the third superstar to hold the title twice.

The only two other people to accomplish this feat were Charlotte Flair and Shayna Baszler. With Valkyria only just having crossed 100 days as champion, she looks to continue the celebrations but Perez will do all she can to spoil the moment.

Oba Femi Aims To Establish Dominance Against Dragon Lee

Oba Femi has had what could easily be considered one of the most dominant arrivals into the WWE Universe, at least in recent memory. First appearing in the 2023 Men’s Breakout Tournament, Femi breezed through his opponents to be the winner of the tournament. Wasting no time, Femi immediately challenged then-champion Dragon Lee to a title match – and he won.

Lee looks to regain the title, as he was only getting settled into his reign as the titleholder but Femi will not allow that if he has anything to do with it.

With a reign that still has not touched 30 days, this serves as the perfect opportunity for Femi to establish his dominance as he promises to rule the North American Championship with an iron fist. This can be expected to be an exciting blend of hard-hitting and high-flying action when the two clash.

Men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament Finals Take Place

The Men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic final is an interesting one as the tag team of Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker goes up against Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams. The tournament has propelled previous tag teams into stardom but, with all four of these superstars primarily being in singles action, this could be quite an interesting match.

For Hayes and Williams, this could be the glue keeping their friendship intact, which means they would need to win the gold. For Corbin and Breakker, this is a way for them to propel themselves forward and have gold to prove their worth in both singles and tag team action.

The Family Goes Up Against OTM

The Family‘s Tony D’Angelo and Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo have been feuding with OTM‘s Lucien Price and Bronco Nima over the last few weeks. At Vengeance Day, the two teams meet with a chance to finally settle their beef, and they both enlist some help.

The Family will team up with Adriana Rizzo whilst OTM gets Jaida Parker to join them. The six-person mixed tag team match will add an interesting dynamic to the feud, and it all goes down at Vengeance Day.

Dijak And Joe Gacy Clash In High-Stakes No Disqualification Match

Dijak and Joe Gacy have been feuding for a couple of weeks, and it all came to a head on the January 30 NXT. The two tried to be civil with each other but eventually got into a brawl that saw them eventually in a situation that called for NXT General Manager Ava to get involved.

They soon agreed to settle the rivalry in the ring at NXT Vengeance Day in a No Disqualification match, where all things go. With the lack of rules, the two get the opportunity to finally resolve their issues in an absolute manner.
