Can Suzuki end Copeland’s momentum?
I never thought I’d be writing a preview for Adam Copeland facing Minoru Suzuki, period. Say what you want about Tony Khan giving this away for free, but I am stoked! We have not seen Suzuki inside an AEW ring since October of 2023, when he came up short in challenging Eddie Kingston for the ROH World Championship and NJPW Strong Openweight Championship.
Copeland is riding a great wave of momentum after losing the TNT Championship to Christian Cage. With singles wins over the likes of Griff Garrison, Lee Moriarty, and Dante Martin, Copeland looks well on his way to a rematch with his former friend.
As great as this match will be, there’s no doubt Copeland is winning this match-up. Suzuki is always a threat and could pull off the upset, but Suzuki only has one win inside of an AEW ring, which was against QT Marshall in February of 2022. Regardless, this will be a dream match that I still can’t believe we’ll get to see!
