Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Semi-Finals Get Underway
The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament semi-finals get underway this week, with the team of Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin going up against Axiom and Nathan Frazer for a spot in the finals. The esteemed tournament’s return has gained a lot of traction, and as a result, the winners of the tournament can be expected to be lauded and praised.
Both teams look to use this tournament as a launchpad for themselves, not only as tag teams but as individuals also.
Lyra Valkyria And Roxanne Perez Make Things Official
NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria will be defending her gold against Roxanne Perez at Vengeance Day. This was confirmed after Perez won the 20-woman battle royal to determine the number one contender, thus putting the former champion on the path to regaining the gold.
Ahead of that match-up, the two will have their contract signing on the January 23 edition of NXT, making things official and setting the stage for the match that could change the course of the NXT‘s women’s division.
Supernova Sessions With Lola Vice
Noam Dar‘s Supernova Sessions make a return this week, with Lola Vice as the special guest for the show. Vice currently holds the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament contract and could cash in her title shot at any point, and this could be a great way to know where her headspace is.
Oba Femi, who was the NXT Men’s Breakout Tournament winner, successfully cashed in his contract and now holds the NXT North American Championship – perhaps that has motivated Vice. It will all be revealed when Vice meets with Dar and the rest of Meta-Four on Supernova Sessions.
