This week’s episode of WWE NXT features a title match, showcase matches, as well as the continuation of the NXT Men’s Breakout Tournament. The show was pre-taped but, as usual, NXT has only provided a brief snippet of what is to come on the show.

Dragon Lee Defends NXT North American Title
Dragon Lee is currently in his first reign as the NXT North American Champion after he successfully challenged ‘Dirty’ Dominik Mysterio for the gold at the NXT Deadline PLE.
Lee has been personally endorsed by lucha libre legend, Rey Mysterio, and is settling into his role as the champion well. On the December 19 edition of NXT, Lee defends the gold against one of four possible opponents.
Lee will face either Drew Gulak, Charlie Dempsey, Damon Kemp, or Myles Borne. Collectively, this four-person stable is known as No Quarter Catch Crew.
With Lee’s championship open challenge, he opens the door for all who dare to step up to the plate. This means the champion cannot prepare for his opponent, as he will only find out on the day. This early in his reign, any and every fight Lee has could define his trajectory as a champion.
Tiffany Stratton And Fallon Henley Meet Again
Tiffany Stratton and Fallon Henley have been in a feud for the last few months. The rivalry seemed to reach fever-pitch at Deadline when the two featured in the women’s Iron Survivor Challenge.
During the match, the two consistently worked to ensure the other did not gain the upper hand, and they had one of the standout moments of the entire show. On the December 19 NXT, the two meet again, hoping to prove themselves superior to the other.
Given the space to work a singles match, it can be expected that the match between Stratton and Henley will deliver.
