It’s the start of the week, so that means it’s WWE Monday Night Raw. This week, the show is live from the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio. The hometown of The Miz and an odd long list of matches with Dolph Ziggler in the past to “decide the king of Ohio.” It was weird.
However, something very interesting is that this is the building where CM Punk famously quit the WWE in 2014, the day after the Royal Rumble and would also have his infamous UFC fight against Mickey Gall and where he had one of his many notable promo battles with MJF just two years ago.
It’s a really quick turnaround for WWE, as they were here just this past June 19th, also for WWE Raw. With all that in mind, let’s see what’s lined up for tonight.

Randy Orton was quick to select his home brand, signing with SmackDown just as they started bidding for him. He wants The Bloodline. Simple as that. But CM Punk is a far more complex story.
As the WWE tries to paint a bidding war so intense, even NXT is trying to recruit him, as seen on NXT Deadline this past Saturday. However, it seems Punk will give his answer tonight.
What brand will he sign with? Fingers crossed for NXT Europe. OK, maybe not. However, with interactions with the likes of Seth Rollins, LA Knight, Kevin Owens, Cody Rhodes, and Randy Orton, and Teases regarding Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman, it’s actually a pretty open field.

For months, Shinsuke Nakamura teased, going after one certain person. Promo after promo, dropping hint after hint. Right after the Survivor Series: WarGames, Nakamura made his move. And fired poison mist at the Royal Rumble winner, expressing just that, how both won the Royal Rumble but fell short at WrestleMania.
And still needs to accomplish their goal. As we debate who might win the 2024 edition, this is quite the story to lay the foundation for the redemption of Cody Rhodes. But first, he faces off against Shinsuke Nakamura. Both, of course, have stints in New Japan Pro Wrestling, but not together.
Drew’s Revenge, Again
Drew McIntyre’s vendetta wound up being re-ignited by Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn when Seth granted Jey Uso a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match despite Drew beating him completely clean one week prior.
Then Sami Zayn criticized him for not taking responsibility for his failures. Drew took it to heart. Just not the way his peers would like as he attacked Jey Uso. Now the match is being run back. Tonight, it’s Drew McIntyre vs Jey Uso. And this time, Drew’s intent is even more clear.
All that, plus WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley vs. Maxxine Dupri and more to come tonight on WWE Raw.
