AEW continues its third excursion of the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, PA tonight with AEW Rampage. Interestingly, this has been a regular stop for AEW now as they seem to stop by every two years in mid-October.
Another October wrestling event to take place in this venue happened to be TNA’s Bound For Glory. Specifically their 2011 edition. Which saw none other than Sting vs Hulk Hogan, as they battled for control of TNA. The event was headlined by Bobby Roode challenging Kurt Angle for the TNA World Championship and falling just short.

Hermanos Se Pelean
That’s Spanish for ‘brothers fight’ as, after a week of promotion, tonight is the night we get the long-awaited clash of Proud N Powerful. Mike Santana faces Ortiz. The first time since 2009’s Carlito vs Primo Colón that two wrestlers of Puerto Rican descent face off in a one-on-one match. For over a year, issues between the two seemed to be brewing in real life.
Detailed by many reports, spoken of by Konnan. Particularly, about how Mike Santana wanted to become a singles star. And Ortiz did not. Santana was already heading in that direction prior to his quad tear at last year’s Blood & Guts match.
Becoming the first of two Heavyweight Champions for Puerto Rico’s short-lived Latin American Wrestling Entertainment promotion. The duo are now set to face off. Will this really be their one and only match? Let’s see.
Another 4 Way
Tony Khan seems to be a big fan of the Dover Boys. Because in the words of Tom Dover; “Hey, we’re getting in a rut!” This is the fifth 4 Way women’s match since All In that either determines the AEW Women’s World Championship or who challenges for said Championship.
Yeah, they explained that “it’s a tradition” for All In. This time around, it’s Skye Blue, Anna Jay, the returning Abadon, and Willow Nightingale facing off. The winner goes straight to Collision the next day to challenge Hikaru Shida. Who in turn will defend against Toni Storm at Full Gear. Hopefully, that slows down the 4 Ways.
Two Young Prodigies Clash
Kyle Fletcher, Will Ospreay’s protege, has run afoul of Don Callis lately. Falling short several times to impress the head of the Don Callis Family despite being an associate of seeming member Will Ospreay as well as being hand-picked assistant for him.
Fletcher has lost his tag team partner, Mark Davis, to injury, and with Will Ospreay busy with New Japan and Impact! Wrestling, he’s alone right now. He takes on Don Callis’ handpicked “son”: Konosuke Takeshita. These two have been labeled as young prodigies in wrestling. Tonight on AEW Rampage, we’ll see just what they’re capable of against each other.
All that, plus with just one day to go before the surprising World title match between Kenny Omega and MJF on Collision, the two will speak regarding this match to see if MJF can break Kenny Omega’s record as longest reigning World Champion. Tonight, on AEW Rampage.
