Preview: NWA Powerrr (10/17/23) – Max The Impaler Battle MJ Jenkins

NWA Powerrr match graphic featuring Max The Impaler versus MJ Jenkins.

The last edition of NWA Powerrr was quite the wild ride that brought the NWA Nation to the edge of their seats. We saw the crowning of a new NWA World Television Champion in the form of “Big Strong” Mims after he defeated Zicky Dice in a spectacular show-opener.

Plus, Daisy Kill and Talos defended the NWA World U.S. Tag Team Titles in two consecutive matches, with one being a definitive victory and one being an intentional countout loss to keep the belts around their waist. It seems like the National Wrestling Alliance is looking to keep its foot on the gas pedal as this latest edition of the Tuesday night YouTube wrestling show is shaping up to be another great one.

With all that said, let’s preview the penultimate stop before NWA Samhain. Let’s run it down.

Full NWA Powerrr Match Card:

    • NWA National Title #1 Contender’s Match: Zyon vs. Chris Adonis
    • Thom Latimer vs. Koa Laxamana
    • NWA World Women’s Television Championship Match: Max The Impaler (c vs. MJ Jenkins
    • “Pick Your Poison” Match: Mecha Wolf vs. Yabo The Clown

No Rest for the Non-Binary Nightmare

Since winning the NWA World Women’s Television Championship from Kenzie Paige back at NWA 75Max The Impaler has been nothing short of unstoppable. They have won all four of their past title defenses, even nabbing the International Princess Title by defeating Rika Tatsumi in a winner-take-all match in TJPW’s Wrestle Princess 4.

There will be no time to take in on all these victories as Max will have another challenger in the form of MJ Jenkins. Undoubtedly one of the best performers in wrestling today, Jenkins has all the tools to dethrone the “Non-Binary Nightmare” off the NWA perch. Unfortunately, it’ll be easier said than done.

Will MJ Jenkins pull off the upset or will Max The Impaler notch their fifth successful title defense in a row?

The Fun Starts Here

At NWA Samhain, two of the NWA’s best teams battle it out as former NWA World Tag Team Champions La Rebelión battle the fun-loving Brothers of Funstruction. For the past few months, these two groups have been at each other’s throats, with the conflict between two former running mates Vampiro and Violent J only fueling the fire between the teams they’re guiding.

On this week’s NWA Powerrr, one team will have the chance to dictate the pace heading into the October pay-per-view. It will be Yabo The Clown taking on the maniacal and dangerous Mecha Wolf, and whoever stands tall for their respective teams will be able to name the stipulation of their choosing for NWA Samhain.

Two very different competitors, both equally can rise to the occasion. Will Yabo get the edge for him and his brother? Or will Mecha Wolf help Vampiro put his plan in motion?

Sexy Jesus Looks to Reclaim the Nation

After failing in his quest to win the NWA World Television Championship, ‘The Masterpiece’ Chris Adonis averts his attention elsewhere as he looks to claim the NWA National Heavyweight Championship for the third time. Unfortunately, one of the most dominant forces in all of the National Wrestling Alliance will be standing in his way in the form of Zyon.

Austin Idol’s prodigy has been on quite the path of destruction, winning his last three singles matches. With these past performances, it seems like Zyon is unstoppable. That said, if there’s anyone who can slay this mammoth of a man, it’s ‘Sexy Jesus’ himself, the former two-time NWA National Champion Chris Adonis.

Who will face ‘Thrillbilly’ Silas Mason for the NWA National Heavyweight Championship? Find out and a lot more this Tuesday on NWA Powerrr!
