WWE Fastlane is upon us, and the 2023 edition kicks off the final quarter’s PLE offerings from the WWE. The event will emanate from the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. This Fastlane event will be the first since 2021, and will also be the first to take place in October.
WWE Fastlane takes place on Saturday, October 7, and is available to watch on Peacock and on the WWE Network. The main card is set to start at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT with the kickoff show set to begin at 7 pm ET/4 pm PT.
At the time of writing, five fights have been confirmed for the Fastlane card, with three of them being title fights.

- John Cena & LA Knight vs. The Bloodline (Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa) – Tag Team Match
- Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura – World Heavyweight Championship Last Man Standing Match
- Iyo Sky (c) vs. Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair – WWE Women’s Championship Triple Threat Match
- Latino World Order (Rey Mysterio, Santos Escobar & Joaquin Wilde/Cruz Del Toro) vs. Bobby Lashley & The Street Profits – Six-Man Tag Team Match
- The Judgement Day (Damian Priest & Finn Bálor) (c) vs. Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso – Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship Match
John Cena & LA Knight Join Forces To Battle The Bloodline
John Cena‘s most recent run has been an entertaining one and, at WWE Fastlane, has his first PLE match since WrestleMania 39. LA Knight continues to be one of the biggest stars that the WWE has, consistently earning the biggest reaction of the night.
The two will come together to go up against Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa of The Bloodline at Fastlane. This is Cena’s battle but, just as the leader of Cenation has been good to him, Knight chooses to be good to Cena by backing him up and not allowing him to go into war alone.
The Bloodline has been running rampant in the last few weeks with Roman Reigns not around to reign everyone in. The team of Cena and Knight is relatively new, but the pair seems to share the goal of conquering The Bloodline. This tag team match-up is an intriguing one, especially with Reigns’ return on the horizon.
Although this will be a test of strength for both pairings, there is also the question of whether they can efficiently co-exist. Both teams will look to make a statement with a victory over the other but, at the end of it all, there can only be one winner.
Bobby Lashley & The Street Profits Take On LWO
Bobby Lashley continues to try to mould The Street Profits to his vision and, at Fastlane, he gets to step into the ring and show them how it’s done. Lashley will team up with The Street Profits against the Latino World Order (LWO).
The rivalry between these two sides has been brewing over the last few weeks and, following The Street Profits’ attack on Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar on the September 29 edition of SmackDown, the two LWO members will team up with either Joaquin Wilde or Cruz Del Toro at Fastlane.
Although this is a young rivalry, it is a rather intense one that has taken over Friday nights. The LWO is one of the most successful stables in the WWE at present but they have been focused on the United States Championship.
At WWE Fastlane, the LWO needs to shift their focus back to tag team competition so they can clip the wings of the determined Lashley and The Street Profits. This six-man tag team match is a chance for the team that emerges victorious to prove its dominance.
Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso Challenge The Judgement Day For Championship Glory
The Judgement Day is back to having all the gold but, as much as ‘Dirty’ Dominik Mysterio was successful in regaining the NXT North American Championship on the October 3 edition of NXT, the Undisputed Tag Team Championships held by Damian Priest and Finn Bálor come under threat at Fastlane. Jey Uso has rebelled against The Judgement Day and the invitation to join the stable, and he has been made to pay for it.
Cody Rhodes, who is the one responsible for the Uso twin’s arrival on Raw, has come to the rescue of ‘Main Event Jey’. At Fastlane, Uso and Rhodes work together to try to overthrow The Judgement Day.
Priest and Bálor became the undisputed tag team champions at Payback, with assistance from Mysterio, Rhea Ripley, and even JD McDonagh. The Judgement Day has proven time and time again that they will do anything and everything they can to keep the gold in their camp but, at Fastlane, Rhodes and Uso will surely have an ace up their sleeve.
The newly formed alliance between Rhodes and Uso is well-informed of what to expect when going up against The Judgement Day, and the pair could find a way to work around the obstacles of other stablemates getting involved. In the process of teaching The Judgement Day a lesson, Rhodes and Uso could also find themselves crowned the new Undisputed Tag Team Champions.
Iyo Sky Defends Her Gold In A Triple Threat Against Asuka and Charlotte Flair
WWE Women’s Champion, Iyo Sky, faces the biggest challenge in her young reign. Thanks to Bayley, ‘The Genius of the Sky’ has to defend her gold in a triple-threat match against Asuka and Charlotte Flair.
Sky attained the championship at SummerSlam when she cashed in her Money in the Bank contract on Bianca Belair, who had just won a triple threat of her own to get the gold. Since then, Sky has successfully defended the gold twice on TV but this will be the first time she puts her championship on the line at a PLE.
Both Flair and Asuka were in the triple threat at SummerSlam, and both have made bold claims to getting a title shot. With this match at Fastlane, Sky gets the opportunity to silence those who doubt her and her reign by succeeding over two prominent superstars. With Damage CTRL by her side, Sky looks to remain at the helm of the SmackDown women’s division, no matter what it may take.
Flair and Asuka are just as determined to get the gold back, to further cement their respective legacies with yet another run with a championship. A triple-threat match is a great way for the superstars to overcome two challengers at once and, whoever emerges victorious from this match, automatically gets the top spot.
Gripping Last Man Standing Match Looks To End The War Between Seth Rollins And Shinsuke Nakamura
The rivalry between Seth Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura has been a loaded one. The ‘King of Strong Style’ has continuously targeted and attacked Rollins’ back, further provoking the champion. Although Rollins holds the World Heavyweight Championship, the feud between Rollins and Nakamura has gone beyond the title.
For Nakamura, gaining the championship would simply be a bonus but his main goal is to render Rollins practically useless. Despite all that Nakamura throws his way, Rollins remains relentless in his attempts to make Nakamura yield and the champion refuses to back down.
With the option of adding a stipulation to the match, Nakamura decided that their next meeting should be a last man standing match. This stipulation match in the WWE can be dated back to the mid-1990s, and it remains one of the most brutal and taxing match types within the promotion. Nakamura competed in a last man standing match against AJ Styles at the 2018 Money in the Bank and, although he did not win that match, he got the experience of it all.
Rollins, on the other hand, has never competed in this stipulation match before, which definitely could prove to be quite a challenge but it’s one that the champion is not backing down from. This match will see Rollins and Nakamura take each other to their absolute limits, in an attempt to capture gold but also be the one to end this war at WWE Fastlane.
