This week’s episode of WWE NXT provides the fallout from the No Mercy PLE. The NXT roster’s trip to Bakersfield, California was a successful one with several moments that still have the wrestling community buzzing. There is no slowing down though as the NXT roster looks to make the month of October a major one, in the lead-up to the NXT Halloween Havoc specials in the final two weeks of the month. Here is all you need to know ahead of the October 3 edition of NXT.

NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament Begins

The 2023 NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament has been confirmed to begin on the October 3 edition of NXT. The competition will feature eight wrestlers, including rising NXT stars, NXT Level Up stars, as well as those who are yet to make their TV debuts. This is an exciting tournament that could see the rise of the next top female competitors.

The bracket determining the matches is yet to be revealed (at the time of writing) but it can be expected that this will be made clear ahead of the start of the competition. This is a great opportunity for the NXT women’s division to be on showcase.

The 2023 NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament competitors are as follows:

  • Kelani Jordan
  • Jakara Jackson
  • Lola Vice
  • Dani Palmer
  • Arianna Grace
  • Karmen Petrovic
  • Jaida Parker
  • Izzi Dame

Butch & Tyler Bate Take On Gallus

Butch came so close to capturing the NXT Heritage Cup at No Mercy during his British Rounds Rules match against champion Noam Dar. Whilst Dar had Meta-Four in his corner, Butch was flanked by Tyler Bate. During the crucial round six, Gallus made an appearance and attacked Bate, thus causing a distraction for Butch which ultimately led to him losing the match in its entirety. The two tag teams waste no time and are set to clash on the October 3 NXT.

Gigi Dolin Gets Revenge On Blair Davenport

Blair Davenport picked up the victory against Kelani Jordan on the No Mercy kickoff show but her celebration was short-lived. Gigi Dolin quickly made her return to attack Davenport, in retaliation for the attack that Davenport had unleashed upon Dolin on the September 26 episode of NXT. The rivalry between Dolin and Davenport is intensifying as the days progress and, on October 3, the two get to settle the opportunity to settle their differences in the ring.
