Preview: NWA Powerrr (10/3/23) – Thrillbilly Defends the NWA National Heavyweight Title

A graphic hyping up the latest episode of NWA Powerrr.

The National Wrestling Alliance welcomes the month of October with another exhilarating edition of NWA Powerrr. We’re a couple of weeks away from NWA Samhain. However, the NWA is not letting up one bit with the stacked card it has in store for the NWA Nation. Without any further ado, here’s a preview of this week’s Tuesday night show on YouTube. Let’s run it down.

Full NWA Powerrr Match Card:

  • World Women’s Tag Team Title #1 Contender’s Match: Natalia Markova & Taylor Rising vs. M95
  • Chris Silvio, Esq vs. Jax Dane
  • NWA National Heavyweight Championship Match “Thrillbilly” Silas Mason (c) vs. Dak Draper
  • NWA Jr. Heavyweight Championship Match: Colby Corino (c) vs. Matt Vine

The Magnum Opus?

On last week’s NWA Powerrr, one-half of the team known as Magnum Muscle booked their ticket to compete for the prestigious NWA World Television Championship. Mims pulled off the victory after defeating Chris AdonisJordan Clearwater, and Blake Troop, setting his mix-up with Zicky Dice to crown a new TV Champion.

This week, Mims’ tag team partner Dak Draper has the chance of a lifetime as he faces off against “Thrillbilly” Silas Mason for the NWA National Heavyweight Championship. Mason has been riding high since winning the vacated National Title. In his first title defense, Silas came away victorious against Jordan Clearwater and followed that up with a six-man tag title win alongside his Southern 6 stablemates.

Thrillbilly is on a bit of a roll and will look to keep the momentum going against Draper. Will Dak Draper end this National Heavyweight title run early or will Silas Mason add another feather to his ten-gallon hat?

Tag Team Tango

Back at NWA 75Natalia Markova and Taylor Rising had one heck of a showdown, with the former coming out on top. The weeks that followed were very fruitful for the combatants, albeit a little disappointing. After an impressive showing against Markova, Rising was the first one up to challenge Max The Impaler for their NWA Women’s World Television Title. Taylor put up a valiant effort but came out on the losing side.

For Markova, she had the chance to book her ticket at NWA Samhain against Kenzie Paige, but Ruthie Jay came out of the three-way number one contender’s match that also involved Missa Kate. This time, these two will team up as they tangle with former NWA Women’s World Tag Team Champions M95, who also need a win to bounce back from their championship loss against Pretty Empowered.

Which team will get their groove back and have a chance to wrestle away the gold from Kylie Paige and Ella Envy? Find out and more on this week’s NWA Powerrr!
