This week’s episode of WWE NXT continues the road to the No Mercy PLE, which takes place in less than two weeks. At the time of writing, four matches have been confirmed for the September 19 edition of NXT but fans can expect more segments to fill up the show. Here is all you need to know about what has been confirmed before the show.

WWE NXT Full Match Card:

  • Carmelo Hayes vs. Dominik Mysterio – Champion vs. Champion Match
  • Roxanne Perez vs. Lola Vice – Singles Match
  • Butch vs. Tyler Bate – NXT Global Heritage Invitational Tournament Match
  • Joe Coffey vs. Duke Hudson – NXT Global Heritage Invitational Tournament Match

Carmelo Hayes and Dominik Mysterio Clash To Determine The A-Championship

Carmelo Hayes has a challenger for his NXT championship in Ilja Dragunov. Dominik Mysterio also has a challenger for his NXT North American championship in Mustafa Ali. Those two matches are set to take place at No Mercy in less than two weeks but, for now, the two meet for a chance to determine which title is the true top-tier championship of NXT.

When Hayes held the NXT North American championship, he labeled it the “A-Championship” and ‘Dirty’ Dom is ready to carry on that legacy as the new title holder but Melo is taking issue with that.

This match will serve as a warm-up bout for both champions ahead of their respective matches when NXT heads to Bakersfield, California in late September. Mysterio will have Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley in his corner and, as such, it can be expected that she will do anything she can to assist ‘Dirty’ Dom come out on top in this bout.

Hayes, having turned down Trick Williams‘ offer to even the playing field by being ringside, will be heading into the solo ready to silence any doubt there may be to his reign. This will be a non-title bout but it will still have major implications as the outcome could affect each of the champions’ momentum heading into No Mercy.

Roxanne Perez and Lola Vice Look To Settle Issues In Singles Competition

The NXT women’s division has experienced a major shift with Becky Lynch now serving as the NXT Women’s Champion. In addition to this, the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament is set to make a return soon. The women’s division is already a highly contentious one, with several feuds taking place.

One such feud is the one between Roxanne Perez and Lola Vice, and the two had a heated backstage confrontation on the September 12 edition of NXT. Perez and Vice agreed to settle their issues in a match this week and, with both of them being highly motivated to get a victory, this promises to be an exciting, hard-hitting affair.

NXT Global Heritage Invitational Tournament Continues

This week, the NXT Global Heritage Invitational Tournament continues with two more matches on NXT. The winner from Group A and the winner from Group B will face off on the September 26 edition of WWE NXT, with the victor of that match ultimately being the one to challenge NXT Heritage Cup holder Noam Dar at No Mercy on September 30.

This week, Group A delivers the highly-anticipated showdown between Butch and Tyler Bate. The other match will witness Joe Coffey and Duke Hudson clash in their Group B match-up. Both these matches will have a major impact on the tournament standings.
