Wrestling is a wonderful thing that has brought all of us together in many ways. The same can be said about the internet. Unfortunately, more often than not the two entities don’t exist in a very happy place when combined. Apparently, it is not acceptable to like something if the internet doesn’t agree.
The new record for paid fan attendance for pro wrestling is held by #AEWAllIn London, thanks to you all who joined us at @wembleystadium!
81,035 paid: @AEW, the all-time leader worldwide in tickets sold for any wrestling event in history.
Thank you to everyone who made it possible

Just the other day, I was reading something about AEW grossing over 100 million dollars just from video game sales, the addition of AEW Collision to their weekly lineup, and All In London. Almost every comment on the post was from one of those people who thinks WWE is the only game in town and that there is no other company worth their attention.
Comments saying how much WWE made last year, or trying to compare the two in some other way that tried to diminish the accomplishments of AEW instead of being happy that another company that only started four years ago has grown so quickly and given us more wrestling content to absorb.
Don’t get this confused. This is not a pro-AEW or an anti-WWE article. This is simply one WRESTLING FAN’S opinion. In a world where we now have wrestling almost every night of the week, it just seems like we should, as a fan base, come together and just enjoy wrestling. It is understandable that for many of us, WWE has been the only game in town for the majority of our lives, but isn’t it a good thing to have some variety? Isn’t it acceptable for some people to like one program without being shamed for it online?
If anything, competition is good for the industry because more shows mean that they all have to up their game to stay relevant and keep the fans talking. I seem to remember a little company called WCW that changed the game in the 90s and nobody seemed that upset about it then. Believe it or not, it is not something to feel bad about because you like a different show. It is actually also alright to sit back and just enjoy multiple products.
At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter if you love WWE, AEW, or IMPACT! Wrestling, NJPW, NWA, the indies, or any other form of wrestling. Like what you like and don’t let anyone tell you it’s wrong. Better yet, break out of your comfort zone and give other shows a chance before bashing them online.
You might actually like what you see. All of them have their ups and downs, but they all have one thing in common. They tell a story and they help us escape the real world for a couple of hours a night. Watch, enjoy, and don’t be a troll if you don’t agree. Let’s just go back to the days when it was wrestling fans against the world instead of wrestling fans against other wrestling fans.
