World Wrestling Entertainment is set to merge with the Ultimate Fighting Championship to form a new company to be known as ‘TKO Group Holdings LLC’ this coming September. While the purchase of WWE by UFC parent company Endeavor Group Holdings was announced this past April, it has not been finalized. However, a Q2 earnings report released this week by Endeavor for it’s investors has revealed that the merger is set to be finalized late next month.
The Low Down on Triple H’s Board Removal
The restructuring of both companies into one will obviously see the elimination of many redundant aspects and positions. As such, many releases are to be expected on the production side. Also, a restructuring is to be expected for the leadership of the new company. And one man not forming part of that united leadership for TKO will in fact be Triple H. Paul Levesque.
As revealed by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, as things stand, Triple H will not be a part of the board of directors for TKO when the merger is finalized. Though it is expected that he will continue his duties as WWE’s head of creative as well as vice president of talent relations.
Triple H has been a part of the WWE under an executive capacity since 2010, when he started out as an executive senior advisor. Little by little learning his way to the company, becoming an executive that would oversee the development of talent in 2013 which would lead to the restructuring of Florida Championship Wrestling into NXT as well as the development of the WWE Performance Center.
In 2020 Triple H replaced John Laurinitis as vice president of talent relations and took the head of creative position long held by Vince McMahon last July following the investigation of the latter in the midst of the “hush money scandal” that saw his temporary exile from WWE.
