On social media, specifically their official Facebook page, World Wrestling Council announced their plans to bring in NWA stars Natalya Markova & Bryan Idol, also known as Mercurio, for an upcoming date.
This would not be the first time either of these two wrestlers participate in events on the island of Puerto Rico. Bryan Idol has had a notable stint for the smaller Ground Zero Wrestling promotion on the island. Winning their main Heavyweight Championship on one occasion. While Natalya Markova recently made her debut on the same promotion this year.
This is not the first time recently WWC has announced a soon-to-arrive talent from the United States, as a month ago they announced their plans to bring in Jacob Fatu. He would then be announced as challenging Intelecto 5 Estrellas for WWC’s upcoming Pay-Per-View event, “Septiembre Negro” (Black September) on September 30. Broadcasting through FITE TV.
Bryan Idol has also previously competed for WWC, debuting at their 49th Anniversary show where he was defeated by the now-current Puertorican Champion, Mike Nice. Bryan Idol had challenged Mike Nice for the Television title he held at the time but came up short in the match. Meanwhile, Natalya Markova was set to make her debut on the island well over a year ago.
As she was promoted to compete at the “Rompiendo Cadenas” (Breaking Chains) event for the now-fallen Latin American Wrestling Entertainment in 2022. However, the event had to be canceled due to the passing of Hurricane Fiona through the island.
WWC’s next major event, “Septiembre Negro” is set to broadcast throught FITE TV live on September 30th with it’s main event being the new Caribbean Champion Xavant, facing retired boxer Juan Manuel Lopez in a ‘Boxing Match’. A feud that started at the 50th Anniversary show. In the semi-main event, Jacob Fatu will challenge Intelecto 5 Estrellas for the WWC Universal Championship. Intelecto 5 Estrellas recently reaching the one year mark as Champion. Though, that has drawn criticism. As the Champion is not seen as an adequate one.
