NXT put on the exciting Great American Bash event on Sunday live from Cedar Park, Texas. Heading back to Orlando, Florida, the NXT stars now face the fallout from the event and begin the build to their next PLE – No Mercy. With about two months left until that event takes place, the NXT roster has the time and ability to build up a thrilling major show. Before that, the fallout from The Great American Bash will take center stage on NXT this week.

Not every segment has been confirmed but wrestling fans can expect appearances from the wrestlers who were a part of the action on Sunday night. The likes of NXT Champion, Carmelo Hayes, can be expected to make an appearance, although that has not been confirmed as yet. There have been a few confirmed segments though and here is all you need to know about them.
WWE NXT Card for August 1
It’s A Tiffany World
Tiffany Stratton was successful in her title defense on Sunday, after Andre Chase threw the towel in causing a technical submission loss for Thea Hail. Stratton is riding a high wave of confidence right now and, having a victory over the submission specialist that is Hail, Tiffany has quite a bit to celebrate. On the August 1st edition of NXT, Stratton intends to turn her Barbie-esque vibe to the max for her celebrations. What she will have to say remains unclear but Hail could make a reappearance, to get another title shot. Other than that, other contenders could come forward looking to get a shot at the champion and ruin her parade.
Lyra Valkyria and Jacy Jayne go to battle
Lyra Valkyria has been gaining momentum in the NXT women’s division, even putting on quite the fight against WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley on last week’s show. Jacy Jayne, on the other hand, has been in tag team action for the majority of her run in NXT. In early 2023, Jayne began her singles run, with a majority of the singles competition being around former Toxic Attraction teammate, Gigi Dolin. Both Valkyria and Jayne will be looking to climb the division’s rankings, all for a chance to potentially be next in line for a shot at Tiffany Stratton’s gold.
Women’s tag team action showcase
The women of NXT will be on full display as another confirmed match-up will witness Yulisa León and Valentina Feroz go up against Lola Vice and Elektra Lopez. This could be a great opportunity for these wrestlers to display the best of themselves in an exciting way, which could put them on the path to having a spot on the No Mercy card. For fans of tag team and/or women’s wrestling, this is a great match to keep an eye out for on this show.
