Preview: AEW Dynamite (7/26/23) – Fallout from Blood & Guts

AEW Dynamite match graphic featuring Orange Cassidy and AR Fox.

After the chaotic event that was Blood & Guts last week, AEW Dynamite is back this Wednesday night as #AllElite fans deal with the fallout. All Elite Wrestling brings its premier wrestling program to Albany, New York, with a card that’s sure to delight any diehard AEW and professional wrestling fan. With all that said, let’s get the show on the road. It’s almost Wednesday night, and you know what that means!

It’s time to preview the latest installment of AEW Dynamite! Let’s run it down.

Full AEW Dynamite Match Card:

  • AEW International Championship Match: Orange Cassidy (c) vs. AR Fox
  • Darby Allin vs. Swerve Strickland
  • We’ll Hear From MJF & Adam Cole
  • PAC vs. Gravity
  • Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli vs. The Lucha Brothers vs. Best Friends
  • Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. vs. Taya Valkyrie

Streak on the Line

Whoever says that Orange Cassidy is not a fighting champion clearly isn’t paying attention. In fact, he’s so eager to defend the AEW International Title, eager in an “Orange Cassidy” way, that he nonchalantly agreed to the request of Darby Allin to grant his friend AR Fox a shot at the gold, setting up this showdown of styles this Wednesday night.

Both men are going into this bout with a lot of momentum on their side. Fox defeated Shane Taylor on the “Zero Hour” pre-show of Ring of Honor’s July pay-per-view Death Before Dishonor this past Sunday. Simultaneously, Orange has been on a historic streak, setting the record a few weeks ago back at Battle of the Belts for the most consecutive AEW title defenses at 25 straight wins.

This match undoubtedly has the potential to steal the show. So, don’t you dare miss it! Will AR Fox pull off the upset and put an end to this historic championship reign? Or will Orange Cassidy notch his 26th straight successful AEW International Title defense?

Still Better than You, BayBay

If anyone told AEW fans that the odd couple team of AEW Champion MJF and his once fierce rival Adam Cole would go on to challenge FTR for the AEW World Tag Team Championships, most people would laugh and not at all believe it. Well, as they say, real life is sometimes stranger than fiction and that’s exactly what will happen on the July 29th edition of AEW Collision.

For this week, the team that affectionately calls themselves “Better Than You, BayBay,” will address the good people of Albany, more than likely voicing their feelings out after their monumental win over Daniel Garcia and Sammy Guevara, and the subsequent confrontation with FTR. However, it seems like these two have bigger fish to fry, possibly even with each other.

What do MJF and Adam Cole have to say? Find out this Wednesday night and more on AEW Dynamite, live only on TBS!
