If you are not familiar with New Wave Pro (NWP) from Terre Haute, IN then this is a great time to get acquainted with “Independent Wrestling’s Best Kept Secret”. For 11 years, New Wave Pro has been a staple of indie wrestling in Indiana. They have showcased talents such as Cole Radrick, Akira, Mike Bennett, Eric Dillinger, Billie Starkz, and many more. As of 2020, they have made their catalog of amazing shows available for stream as well via IWTV. With this being mentioned, NWP prepares for another huge event with NWP Talk of the Town, this Saturday, March 11th, in West Terre Haute, Indiana, and will feature some of today’s best indie talent and also one notable “snowman”.

NWP Higher Ground Championship: Swinger (C) vs. “The Veteran” Jack Vaughn
Two months ago, Swinger surprised then-current champion, Oliver Gunner, by outclassing him in their title match. This exchange of the championship has now opened the door for TikTok sensation Jack Vaughn to show Swinger how professional wrestlers actually work. With Swinger being a newcomer to NWP and Vaughn prepping for his debut, this match could “swing” both ways.

Matt Brannigan vs. Mad Dog Connelly
Matt Brannigan has been around NWP long enough to know that you don’t make a mockery of the Mad Dog’s yard. Connelly is coming off a lengthy run as NWP Champion and looking to punish anyone brave enough to take a stand. After several appearances on AEW Dark, Brannigan returns to poke fun at Connelly’s loss. The question is, what does Connelly bury if there’s nothing left of Brannigan at the end of the match?

Nikki Victory vs. Sage Phillips
Nikki Victory makes her debut against the former NWP Champion, Sage Phillips, this Saturday. Sage has been looking to gain traction again since dropping the title to Connelly months ago and views this match as an easy “W”. This might be a premature assumption though as Nikki Victory has lived up to her namesake in other promotions. It’s victory or bust for both competitors on Saturday, March 11th.

Eric Dillinger vs. Anakin Murphy
Both Eric Dillinger and Anakin Murphy have gained a reputation within New Wave Pro as two of the toughest individuals to enter the squared circle. Both have showcased that neither is willing to back down from a fight and willing to go to great heights to score the win. At NWP Talk of the Town, the question at hand is who or what will be left of either man after they put each other through a grueling brawl? Expect no pulled punches here and anticipate that both men enter as enemies and leave as such.

Josh Crane vs. Solomon Tupu
Josh Crane and Solomon Tupu have been at odds with each other since their loss in the #1 contenders match at “November Reign” in November 2022. Now, these two hard hitting masters of the chop look to cut each other down to size. Though both have a storied history with NWP, they seek to write a final chapter for each other on Saturday. Does Tupu reclaim his spot at the top or is the danger too much for him to handle?

NWP World Tag Team Championship: The OutRunners (C) vs. Cincinnati’s Most Wanted
The OutRunners have been on a roll outside of NWP as of late; proving they are television time worthy with multiple appearances on AEW “DARK”. Cincinnati’s Most Wanted, Aaron Williams and Lord Crewe, have been tearing it up as well with championships in other promotions and leaving bodies in their wake. These two teams will finally meet in a tag team championship match that meshes old school nostalgia with new age wit. Do The OutRunners leave Most Wanted in the dust, or does Cincinnati’s Most Wanted make The OutRunners question “Who Dey”?

NWP Championship w/ Special Enforcer Al Snow: Nate Matthews (C) vs. ZDP w/ Dude Baddington
Nate Matthews has been carrying the NWP Championship with him constantly since his win over Eric Dillinger and Mad Dog Connelly at “ANNIVERSARY 11” in January. After four years of battling everyone and anyone that would face him, victory was bitter sweet. Enter ZDP. ZDP has been the annoying bug in the ear of many fans and talents with a recent win over Carlito and winning the “Eminent 8” tournament in February. His win in the tournament secured his spot for a future NWP Championship match. He may have chosen the wrong champion to contend with as Matthews makes his intent clear to remain champion at “Talk of the Town”. NWP officials have made it clear that ZDP won’t be taking home gold via outside means of assistance, as former ECW/WWE star Al Snow will be ring side to ensure everything happens as it should.
If you’re looking for an awesome show with tons of talented competitors then West Terre Haute, IN is your destination this Saturday, March 11th. Check out New Wave Pro on all social media to find out more about NWP Talk of the Town; for ticket information or catch the premiere on IWTV later in March.
