- The 1st women’s tournament semifinals will see Sexy Star, La Hiedra, and Lady Flammer taking on the team of Emi Sakura, Mayumi Ozaki, AKINO in a trios match
- The 2nd women’s semifinal tourney match will see Kamille, Deonna Purrazzo and Jordynne Grace face the team of Taya Valkyrie, Christi Jaynes & Natalia Markova
The women’s tournament will more than likely be won by the American team or maybe Team Mexico since AAA has finally begun pushing the new Sexy Star in their canon, she won the women’s Rey de Reyes tournament earlier this month during the AAA TV tapings. It wouldn’t make sense for any other team to win since Kamille is the current reigning NWA Women’s champion and Taya Valkyrie is pushed pretty well in AAA.
The men’s Lucha World Cup will be comprised of 4 quarterfinal matches but the teams representing Mexico and America have a strong chance of winning this year’s edition of the tournament.
- The 1st Quarterfinal match will see Hijo del Vikingo, Pyscho Clown & Alberto El Patron facing Carlito, Hip Hop Man and Zumbi in a trios match
- The 2nd quarterfinal match will be Pentagon Jr, Laredo Kid, Taurus vs the team of Bhupinder Gujjar, Classy Ali & Rage in a trios match
- The 3rd quarterfinal match will see Johnny Caballero, Christopher Daniels & Sam Adonis facing Nishikawa, La Estrella and Kuuaki in a trios match
- The final quarterfinal match in the men’s tournament will see Josh Alexander, Vampiro & PCO facing Joe Hendry, Thom Latimer & Heddi Karaoui in a trios match
The promotions represented in this tournament are Lucha Libre AAA, All Elite Wrestling, National Wrestling Alliance, IMPACT Wrestling, DRAGONGATE, OZ Academy, Qatar Pro Wrestling, IWRG and last but not least the “invisible” Naccion Lucha Libre venture.
