It’s Monday night and we’re coming off a red-hot Elimination Chamber premium live event in Montreal. WWE is staying north of the border as Raw comes to us from the Canadian Tire Center in Ottawa, Ontario. Despite the name, it’s not a NASCAR or F-1 venue. It’s the home Ottawa Senators of the NHL and was formally known as the Palladium and Scotiabank Place. It once played host to a rather random NXT taping which followed NXT Takeover: Toronto in 2016. It was a double taping alongside that week’s episode of Smackdown. Let’s take a look at the lineup for WWE Raw tonight.

A Surprising Big Time US Title Match
At Elimination Chamber, Austin Theory successfully defended his United States Championship inside the titular structure. At the same show, Edge and Beth Phoenix, the self-designated Grit Couple, defeated The Judgment Day tandem of Finn Balor and the female Royal Rumble winner, Rhea Ripley. This comes after Theory laid out the challenge during the post-event press conference.
Rumors have been running for months regarding a potential Austin Theory vs John Cena including segments already taped. So it’s quite surprising to see that Austin Theory retained the title at Elimination Chamber. If the match were to take place, would Austin Theory win? Would John Cena win a 6th US title and stick around? Or is Edge about to join Booker T, Chris Benoit and Bret Hart as people that have held the WCW and WWE versions of the US title? We’ll have to wait and see.
The Golden Boy From Dorado Showed Up
In a surprise, Logan Paul, Puerto Rico’s most beloved adopted son, showed up at Elimiation Chamber. And he cost Seth Rollins the United States title in the namesake match. This pretty much points us to the two facing off at WrestleMania after the Royal Rumble teased the idea. Now we just need to see how the weeks are filled out. Expect a lot of extravagance from the two rather flamboyant showmen.
Ziggler vs Ali
Yeah, this is a match. A match and feud build around the idea of these two guys that have been struggling for opportunities to the point of parody in some cases going one on one. There’s no doubt that if allowed, they could in fact have a very good match. But, what else is there to say? It’s a match.
Other Unfinished Business
Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar seem tied to continue on with their feud as Brock effectively rage-quit the match with a low blow. But……. Wasn’t he the one who asked for the rematch in the first place? Regardless, it seems we can now cement that we’re getting Lashley vs Lesnar IV at WrestleMania.
Path To WrestleMania
We now have a clear path to WrestleMania. We have lots of matches looming. However, we also have people who are clearly meant to play big roles with no actual defined destination. The most notable ones being Becky Lynch and Bayley. Are we getting some sort of trios match involving Damage CTRL, Lita and maybe Trish Stratus? What of Edge and Beth Phoenix? They won. But……. What now? What about The Judgment Day? Let’s see what we get from WWE Raw tonight.
