WWE Raw tonight comes to us live this week from the Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama. A long-standing arena for the WWE since the 80’s. It was home to the 2000 edition of WWF Armageddon. The Pay-Per-View with the well-remembered 6-man Hell In A Cell for the WWF Championship with Kurt Angle defending against Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, The Undertaker, Rikishi and Triple H. The match featured the infamous spot of Undertaker dropping Rikishi from the top of the structure and onto the bed of a truck that ‘conveniently’ was loaded full of pine chips. It would be the precursor for the Elimination Chamber two years later.

Alexa Explains Herself
What will @AlexaBliss_WWE have to say tomorrow night on #WWERaw?https://t.co/2uweDLFMnL
— WWE (@WWE) January 8, 2023
Vince McMahon officially forced himself back into the WWE and right away, we have a Raw with nothing on the slate. Well, stuff was announced. But it’s the first time in many months where not a single match is announced and we just have vagueness.
Following the ever ‘subtle’ influences of Bray Wyatt, it would seem Alexa Bliss snapped last week, attacking Bianca Belair in the midst of their Raw Women’s title match and causing a disqualification. Alexa asserted last week that she never felt more in control and that she was in Bianca Belair’s head. Winning the match and title were apparently not her objective? Either all, we get an update on this peculiar saga tonight.
Austin Theory Will Tell Us What’s Next
It’s a preview of a preview as the United States Champion Austin Theory will personally tell us what will be next for him. This follows his successful title defense last week over Seth Rollins who is seemingly injured following the match. What is next for him? One has to assume he may likely announce his intentions to enter the Men’s Royal Rumble match. Or an open challenge. He might get interrupted by a potential challenger otherwise. Guess we’ll have to wait until the show to see what’s next.
What Else?
The Royal Rumble is closing in. The Unified Universal WWE Championship match is set between Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns however, it seems that program is now being focused upon during Smackdown after seeing The Bloodline appear on Raw for weeks. There’s still a chance of the showing up. We’ve seen Solo Sikoa, Sami Zayn, etc. involved in matches and such.

We’ve yet to see any follow-up involving Bronson Reed after his re-debut a couple of weeks ago, helping The Miz defeat Dexter Lumis to win back his money.
The feud between Becky Lynch and Bayley is still ongoing and it seems Becky is chasing for a rematch. So far beside both Royal Rumbles, only Roman Reigns vs Kevin Owens is official for the event. As we close in, it might be time to see what other matches get announced tonight on Monday Night Raw.
