AEW continues its sophomore seating at the Freeman Coliseum with Rampage. AEW’s previous stand here was this past March where Thunder Rosa defeated Dr. Britt Baker for the AEW Women’s World title in a Steel Cage match. Sadly, it seems we’re far from seeing Thunder Rosa come back to action as her recovery from her back injury seems to have stalled. Let’s take a look at the AEW Rampage card tonight.

3 Kings Battle Royal

For the record, 3 Kings Day, or The Epiphany as it’s actually known in English, is on January 6th. Which, also happens to be a Friday. They couldn’t wait? Either all, we have ourselves the return of the Casino Battle Royal concept. And for the first time, it involves the Trios of AEW. Since the current Trios Champions, The Death Triangle, are tied to their Best of 7 Series with The Elite, the prize here is $300,000. It’s even weirder considering you could’ve set these potential #1 Contenders on the week before the final match while Kenny Omega is in Japan.

Either all, we’ll get to see how truly deep the AEW Trios division is. We already have quite the various groups announced, Most notably, The Best Friends, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta of the Blackpool Combat Club and the tease of Hangman Page going in with The Dark Order.

Jade Cargill In Action

The running gag of the TBS Champion being on TNT is back as Jade Cargill will see action against Vertvixen who is fresh off a loss to Athena for the ROH Women’s Championship. Jade Cargill is just 2 weeks away from hitting the one year mark since becoming the inaugural TBS Champion. And it seems there’s no real second champion in site.

Planet Jarrett Reunion?

Not really. One of TNA’s long list of would-be conqueror heel stables isn’t reuniting. But we do have two of it’s members facing off as Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal take on one half of the AEW Tag Team Champions, Anthony Bowens and Daddy Ass. Yeah, according to the billing, it seems it’s no longer Billy Gunn. Nor Kip James like back in his TNA days. Yes, they’re going to draw out the likely World Tag Team title match between The Acclaimed and Jarrett/Lethal.
