Everything is bigger in Texas, and nothing’s bigger than an episode of AEW Dynamite in the “Lone Star” state. This week’s AEW Dynamite card sets the stage for the December spectacular known as “Winter Is Coming,” which is seven days away from this Wednesday. An Absolute Plan
Ahead of his AEW World Championship match opposite MJF at Winter is Coming, “Absolute” Ricky Starks looks to gain the advantage by playing mind games. In a backstage interview on last week’s Dynamite, Starks stated that he will be entering the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale, and looking to win it. Ricky first wants to take the Dynamite Diamond Ring, then “The Salt of the Earth’s” newest and most valued possession: the AEW World Title.
The Dynamite Diamond Ring is instrumental in the rise of MJF to prominence. Regardless of its nefarious utilization, the ring has been used by MJF to win countless big-time matches, and it surely played a role in him reaching the top of the mountain. It may be just a piece of jewelry for some but to MJF? It symbolizes a large part of his young and successful career. That said, Starks won’t be the only one competing in this matchup.
Up-and-comers and veterans alike are chomping at the bit to secure the Dynamite Diamond Ring for themselves. It’s the annual Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale! Who will come out on top? Will Ricky Starks make good on his promise? Or will another competitor take advantage and seize the opportunity?

The King of Television takes on the longest-reigning TNT Champion of all-time this Wednesday in Texas! pic.twitter.com/ocrN4zo0CK

Samoa Joe‘s newfound mean streak has garnered him nothing but success, and another title to add to his illustrious collection. Aside from holding the Ring of Honor World Television Championship for over 200 days at this point, Joe would win the TNT Championship back at Full Gear, dethroning Wardlow and defeating Powerhouse Hobbs all in one night.
While Joe has been nothing but dominant this 2022, somebody may put a wrench in the plans of the “Samoan Submission Machine.” This Wednesday night, the longest-reigning TNT Champion of all-time Darby Allin looks to secure his second reign with the championship. Darby held the TNT Title in his first, and only, title run to date for over six months. Allin was a fighting champion that ran away from no fight, and he was not about to run away from this one with everything on the line.
It’ll be Darby Allin taking on Samoa Joe for the TNT Championship; who will walk out of Texas with gold around their waist? Find out this Wednesday night on another exciting AEW Dynamite card only on TBS!
