WWE SmackDown tonight will continue the WWE World Cup, which is being run to coincide with the real-life World Cup in Qatar. In addition, the women’s title picture will advance when Shotzi takes on Ronda Rousey’s right-hand woman. Let’s take a look at the Friday Night SmackDown card for this week!

Butch vs Sami Zayn
Once upon a time this was probably a dream match. The “Bruiserweight”, rough and tumble brawler Pete Dunne against the ultimate underdog Sami Zayn. Instead, we are going to get it on WWE SmackDown tonight with Butch taking on “honorary Uce” Sami Zayn in a complete role reversal. Both are good wrestlers so this could end up stealing the show but it feels like a missed opportunity.

Shotzi vs Shayna Baszler
We are just over a week away from Shotzi challenging Ronda Rousey for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. In the build-up to that match, the challenger will take on Rousey’s friend and right-hand woman Shayna Baszler. Standard pro wrestling fare is that the good guy triumphs over the lackey but Baszler has been kept strong so shenanigans could be afoot.
