The AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament is back, and Tag Title Match is set for Full Gear.

AEW announced that the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament would culminate at AEW Full Gear. However, it was not indicated when the tournament would begin. The winner will receive his AEW World Title match at AEW Winter is Coming on December 14.

Bryan Danielson won the 2021 AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament, defeating Miro in the finals at AEW Full Gear 2021. Likewise, Kenny Omega won in 2020 when he defeated Hangman Page in the finals at AEW Full Gear 2020.

AEW Full Gear 2022 will be headlined by Jon Moxley defending the AEW World Title against MJF.

AEW officially announced that The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens) would defend their AEW World Tag Team Titles against Swerve In Our Glory (Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland) at AEW Full Gear.

Swerve In Our Glory became the number one contender on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite when they defeated FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) in a number one contender’s match.

Swerve In Our Glory defeated The Acclaimed at AEW All Out, retaining the AEW Tag Team Titles. The Acclaimed won the AEW Tag Team Titles at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam.

Swerve blamed Billy Gunn, who interfered in the match, for the loss and took matters into his own hands on Rampage by seemingly “cutting off” Gunn’s fingers after kidnapping him.
