The answer was revealed on August 20 at the show at the Oval in Philadelphia. Not only are deathmatches returning, but they are returning in the biggest way CZW knows how to. One of the largest and most notorious deathmatch tournaments will be making its glorious comeback when CZW presents Tournament of Death 2022. This will be the first Tournament of Death since June of 2019.
The event will take place Halloween weekend on Saturday, October 29 on the blood-soaked field known as the Ultraviolent Underground in Townsend, Delaware that has become a bit of a haven for deathmatch enthusiasts. It is only fitting that this event returns to such hallowed ground for the rebirth of CZW deathmatches.
People have been begging for this since CZW started back up and now they will finally get their wish. Not only that, but the first two participants have been announced and CZW has started off with a bang. Entrant #1 is Bobby Beverly and entrant #2 is none other than deathmatch legend Necro Butcher. These two names are huge in the deathmatch scene and are a fantastic way to start up the hype for Tournament of Death. Fans can look forward to more announcements in the weeks to come.
Tickets for Tournament of Death went on sale on Sunday and can be purchased at www.czwrestling.com right now! Tickets are already selling quickly, so don’t wait to grab yours.
