During Ring of Honor’s Death Before Dishonor, AEW announced a few big match-ups ahead of their Fight for the Fallen special. While typically, two championship defenses would be big enough, the biggest bit of news has to be the return of Bryan Danielson.
Fight for The Fallen Card Update

Danielson is set to face off the man who put him on the sidelines in Daniel Garcia. Garcia’s coming off a loss to ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta, a stablemate of Danielson’s in the Blackpool Combat Club. These men have faced each other in singles competition before, with Danielson winning by referee stoppage.
Interim AEW World Champion Jon Moxley’s next title defense is set as he battles former 2-time ROH World Champion RUSH. As stated by commentary, Rush earned this shot with a ten-match winning streak capped off with a victory over his brother Dragon Lee.
Lastly, AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa is set to face off against Miyu Yamashita. Yamashita earned her title shot by scoring an upset win over Rosa at TJPW’s Summer Sun Princess 2022 event, the first loss Rosa has suffered since capturing the belt. The sheer shock could either motivate Rosa to perform even better in their rematch or give Yamashita the mental edge she needs to capture the AEW Women’s World Championship.
