Jonathan Gresham in Action on AEW Dark

Jonathan Gresham looks to build momentum ahead of his title defense with Blackpool Combat Club’s Claudio Castagnoli this week on AEW Dark. While he’s the favorite heading into his match with debuting Jordan Oasis, the newcomer should not be overlooked.

Though Oasis does not have a lot of exposure, he has a solid training pedigree. Jordan graduated from the Buddy Wayne Academy, which has produced notable indy standouts, including C4 (“Classic” Cody Chhun and Guillermo Rosas) and AEW contract holder Nick Wayne. He has also trained under WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi.

Gresham is champion for a reason, though, and while he’s not advertised to be ringside, having Tully Blanchard in his corner will only strengthen the dominant champion. Gresham will pick up the win, but Oasis will show he deserves another shot on Dark.
