Preview: WWE Raw Card (7/18/22) – Carmella vs Belair

WWE Raw Belair vs Carmella

WWE Raw celebrates episode #1520 this week from Tampa Bay’s Amalie Arena. This was the home of “Raw Reunion” back in 2019. A rather infamous episode of Raw that was a clear rating grab scheme with them promoting a laundry list of legends for the show. That episode was nearly exactly 3 years ago, July 22, 2019. WWE has Bianca Belair against Carmella, a Logan Paul appearance, and more this week on Raw.

In 2000, WWF presented Survivor Series from the venue. The event had Kurt Angle vs. The Undertaker for the WWF title. The match saw the first appearance of Kurt’s brother, Eric, switching places with his brother. The event was headlined by an infamous No DQ match between Stone Cold Steve Austin & Triple H following the infamous “I did it for The Rock” story with Rikishi that led to Triple H taking over. It ended with Stone Cold trapping Triple H in a car, lifting it with a forklift, and flipping it.

Carmella Gets Another Chance at Belair

If you’re a fan of Carmella vs. Bianca Belair, then boy, it must be Christmas for you because in the words of Limp Bizkit’s “Crack Addict”, the theme used to promote the third Stone Cold vs The Rock Wrestlemania match, “Grrrrrr…… Here we go again!”

The duo will meet yet again for the Raw Women’s Championship. Last week Carmella had her second chance after failing to win at the Money In The Bank premium live event and won via count-out, as Bianca was seemingly starstruck by Becky Lynch’s presence at ringside in a rather confusing finish.

So now, Carmella challenges again. Though it seems pretty obvious we’re heading towards another Becky Lynch vs Bianca Belair match at Summerslam.

Logan Paul Comes Calling

Logan Paul is now officially a WWE performer. To quote The Hulk now, “these are confusing times.”

He looks to challenge The Miz rather than team with him. And given The Miz’s own quarrel with AJ Styles recently, along with his now established association with Ciampa, it would seem we are en route to another tag team match for Summerslam involving those four. Let’s see if that gets confirmed tonight on Raw.

We Know He’s Coming….. But When?

The ominous videos continue. And after seeing the Randy Orton and John Cena paraphernalia this time, it’s pretty obvious now. It’s Edge. The question is when exactly is he returning. We can likely expect him to seek revenge against The Judgment Day. But they’re involved with The Mysterio’s right now. Would Edge take Dominik’s place to reunite with former tag team partner Rey Mysterio? The duo was the second pair to win the WWE Tag Team Championships. The Smackdown exclusive Tag Team titles were created in 2002, just after Rey Mysterio’s WWE debut. Which, we know they will be celebrating next week from Madison Square Garden.

Will Dominik stand aside? Or actually join The Judgment Day as Edge makes his inevitable return?

All that and more tonight on Monday Night Raw.
