The NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championship will be the second title on the STRONG brand, joining the NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship currently held by Fred Rosser and originally won by Tom Lawlor. NJPW’s belief in their STRONG division is a welcome sign as it continues to be an exciting product week-to-week. There will be a number of teams striving to become the first-ever champions with the potential for involvement from other promotions outside of NJPW as well.
Team Filthy’s West Coast Wrecking Crew is sure to enter themselves into the tournament with hopes of capturing the titles as they have been one of the key teams for STRONG. Another team to consider is TMDK, who recently reunited at Capital Collision in a losing effort to The United Empire. Speaking of The United Empire, Aussie Open could enter themselves into the equation also.
No matter who does enter the tournament, it should be one to keep an eye out for as STRONG continues to grow.
