Preview: WWE SmackDown (6/3/22) – Hell in a Cell Go-Home Show… Kinda

Madcap Moss Returns to SmackDown

WWE‘s Friday Night SmackDown is here once more! Tonight’s episode is the go-home edition of SmackDown ahead of this weekend’s Hell in a Cell pay per view – which will feature Raw and SmackDown superstars entering the famed, infamously hellish structure in front of thousands of adoring fan-wait, there are no SmackDown matches booked for the show? Why? This is lazy booking once more at play, dear readers. That’s right; there are six matches set for Hell in a Cell but not one features a SmackDown superstar which, quite honestly, is a crime. So, whereas there will likely be a SmackDown match to make it onto the show, it is ridiculous that there is nothing already scheduled to take place and FOX cannot be happy about this, considering all the money they spend on SmackDown. With Roman Reigns working less dates and with Sasha Banks and Naomi potentially not returning any time soon (if ever), SmackDown is in an odd spot right now. Anyway, let’s dive into the preview.

Riddle & Shinsuke Nakamura Looking to Enact Vengeance on The Usos

Randy Orton is out injured. Therefore, Riddle – who, alongside Orton, has been embroiled in a feud with The Usos (Jimmy & Jey) for months now – has had to seek the help of an ally with a common enemy, Shinsuke Nakamura. Honestly, this is a team which works and it gets Nakamura featured in a hot feud, so we cannot complain. Given the recent torment aimed at the makeshift team by the Usos, it is no surprise that Riddle and Nakamura are looking for a bit of revenge. Will they achieve it? Tune into SmackDown to find out.

Madcap Moss Returns

Madcap Moss, the former lackey and ally of Happy Corbin, is confirmed to be returning tonight. The WWE is teasing a new gimmick; new attitude and potentially a new name for the returning Moss, so the above image may just be out of date after tonight’s show. Will he be continuing his feud with Corbin, or is he set to refocus his efforts and goals elsewhere? Once more, tune into tonight’s SmackDown on FOX to find out. Enjoy a SmackDown-less Hell in a Cell this weekend!
