Pro Wrestling NOAH and Dragon Gate Secure Visas, Partner with Pro Wrestling Revolution

Pro Wrestling NOAH and Dragon Gate Secure US Visa

Earlier today, Justin Barrasso announced via Sports Illustrated that 37 Japanese pro wrestlers from both Pro Wrestling NOAH and Dragon Gate have secured a P-3 group visa. This was thanks in large part to California-based promotion Pro Wrestling Revolution, and multi-platform media company Masked Republic, which specializes in the marketing and merchandising of Lucha Libre products.

Bringing Lucha-Resu Back to California

Pro Wrestling Revolution owner Gabriel Ramirez said the following on the matter, “We’re combining these Japanese promotions’ storied athleticism and fighting spirit with the high-flying spectacle of the Pro Wrestling Revolution roster. California pro wrestling fans have a lot to look forward to in 2022.” Gabriel was very helpful in Masked Republic’s previous endeavor of securing P-3s for 50 Luchadores back in August of 2021, an endeavor that was successful. He then turned his attention to Japan, with further assistance and advice from Masked Republic. “We’re bringing the hard-hitting puroresu style of Japanese wrestling to Pro Wrestling Revolution. It’s a chance to combine Lucha Libre and Puroresu, two styles which have been closely associated over the years. Now, we’re bringing this Mexico-Japan wrestling connection to the States.”

Ramirez also talked about the possibility of running shows in Japan or even a large show during next year’s WrestleMania weekend. “We look forward to what this is going to bring to pro wrestling in America and Japan. This will also allow (Pro Wrestling) NOAH and Dragon Gate to run full-fledged shows here. With next year’s WrestleMania in California, we are exploring holding a big event, almost like WrestleCon, but it will be PuroresuCon. Moving forward, there is limitless potential.”

Pro Wrestling NOAH Stars Finally Come to the U.S.

PWR’s next show is July 30th, but their big November show, King of the Indies, a show that normally features a lot of Japanese talent, will be particularly interesting to see. There will certainly be plenty of talent available, among them being Pro Wrestling NOAH’s GHC Heavyweight Champion Go Shiozaki, the legendary Great Muta, Naomichi Marufuji, Kazuyuki Fujita, Eita, Masakatsu Funaki, Kai, Yamato, and Dragon Dia.
