AEW Rampage Feat Texas Death Match

Everything’s bigger in Texas, and “The Lone Star State” plays host to a live and exciting edition of All Elite Wrestling’s top Friday night wrestling program AEW Rampage. Let us preview the action on AEW Rampage as “Championship Week” continues with the AEW World Championship up for grabs in a Texas Death Match.

Qualifiers for The Owen Hart Women’s Tournament continue. Plus, undefeated in trios action, Gunn Club battles The Blackpool Combat Club. Wrangle up your friends and open a couple of cold ones, as Rampage will hit Texas unlike any other. It’s Friday night after all, and you know what that means! This is Rampage! Let’s run it down.

Full AEW Rampage Match Card:

  • AEW World Championship Match – Texas Death Match: Hangman Page (c) vs. Adam Cole
  • Trios Match: Gunn Club vs. The Blackpool Combat Club
  • The Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament – Qualifier: Ruby Soho vs. Robyn Renegade

Welcome to the Club

Wheeler Yuta proved himself worthy last week on Rampage, as he went through a bloody war against Jon Moxley. The Ring of Honor Pure Champion finally earned the respect of, not only Mox but also “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson and William Regal. However, there is no rest for the wicked and the real work begins this Friday night against The Gunn Club.

Billy Gunn and his sons Austin and Colten Gunn are undefeated in trios action. The Blackpool Combat Club seeks to end that winning streak and test the might of its new member. Yuta will finally get his first taste of what it means to be included in this club, and what it takes to stay in it. Will The Gunn Club continue their winning ways or will The Blackpool Combat Club chalk up their first win as a trio?

The Battle to the Death

After their tremendous match at this year’s Revolution, AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page and challenger Adam Cole write the second chapter in this epic rivalry, as they face off for the world title once more. This time, on AEW Rampage, it will be in a barbaric Texas Death Match. Page is no stranger to this type of match, as he fought in a brutal Texas Death Match opposite “The Murderhawk Monster” Lance Archer.

Suffice it to say, Hangman Page came out of that victorious. However, he survived the onslaught of Archer by the skin of his teeth and the will to keep the gold in his possession. That being said, Adam Cole is another case entirely. Cole has been gunning for the AEW world title for months now, going as far as stealing the physical championship belt, deeming himself the “uncrowned champion”; Cole will stop at nothing to finally get the world title in his hands.

Hangman Page wants to end this once and for all, and he wants it to end in the most sadistic way possible. Something’s got to give this Friday night. Two will enter, and one will leave with the gold around their waist. It’s Hangman Page versus Adam Cole in a Texas Death Match live this Friday night on Rampage, only on TNT!
