WrestleMania Sunday Predictions

Edge vs. AJ Styles. A legitimate dream match in the world of professional wrestling is actually happening. And Edge has completely changed himself for it. He’s become unrecognizable from the man who returned in the 2020 Royal Rumble and speared Styles into oblivion when he got into the ring. He’s rid himself of “Metalingus” as a theme song and is slicking back his hair to feel like some mad genius or something. Nothing about Edge is what people expected for such a dream match with AJ Styles but all that really matters is what these two men do in the ring at WrestleMania.

A story is a key part of professional wrestling and while it hasn’t necessarily been the best work of Edge’s career, what we can agree upon is that the best version of Edge is when he’s a detestable heel. Styles was in need of a shakeup. He was and that’s why Edge did it. The last great Styles match happened much longer than a year ago. It doesn’t feel right. Edge wanted to bring the best version of Styles out and that’s what we are (hopefully) going to get at WrestleMania. As long as the match is about who is the best wrestler out of the two, this match should be befitting of the “dream match” term many have given it.

Prediction: AJ Styles

WWE Championship and Universal Championship Unification: Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Roman Reigns (c)

Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns | WrestleMania Sunday

Being touted as “The Biggest WrestleMania Match of All-Time,” Brock Lesnar will finally face Roman Reigns with the stakes higher than ever before. After Paul Heyman betrayed “The Beast Incarnate” at the Royal Rumble, all signs pointed to these two men going to war at WWE’s signature event. Since that betrayal, Lesnar has managed to win the Men’s Royal Rumble match as well as the WWE Championship, only adding to the hype around this match. Without all the titles, this feud was worthy of main eventing WrestleMania. Now with the potential of unification, it goes without saying this will be one of the most important matches in WWE history and the legacy of Roman Reigns.

“The Tribal Chief” has been the definition of dominance and greatness since making his grand return at SummerSlam in 2020. He immediately won the Universal Championship and has been the king of WWE since that moment. The Fiend, Braun Strowman, Jey Uso, Kevin Owens, Daniel Bryan, Edge, Cesaro, Rey Mysterio, John Cena, Finn Balor, Sami Zayn, Goldberg, Seth Rollins, and Brock Lesnar. This is the list of men who have challenged Reigns in his title reign and walked away with nothing. “The Head of the Table” has been unstoppable but his legacy as one of the greatest world champions in WWE history rides on this match. If he can’t defeat Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania, which is something he has never done, then it’s all for naught.

The day after WrestleMania, Lesnar will go home to his farm as a winner or loser and his legacy will be perfectly fine. Reigns can’t say that which is why he has to be holding the WWE Championship and Universal Championship above his head when the match is over.

Prediction: Roman Reigns
