Big Texas Tussle
“The Murderhawk Monster” Lance Archer vows to end the Rhodes Family legacy once and for all as he battles “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes. Archer has been on a warpath since he returned from injury. He targeted the AEW World Champion Hangman Page on his first night back, and almost won the AEW world title in a Texas Death Match.
Despite falling short of his world title aspirations, Archer remains as violent and driven as ever. And, on this week’s Rampage, he looks to make another statement by annihilating a legend. However, this is not Dustin Rhodes’ first rodeo. He has seen his fair share of big matches throughout his career and has slain giants much like The Murderhawk Monster.
The last meeting between these two did not go particularly well for Dustin. Archer left The Natural bruised, battered, and bloody, and you just know Rhodes wants to redeem that loss this Friday night. It’s Lance Archer versus Dustin Rhodes in their homes state of Texas! Don’t you dare miss this Friday night on TNT!
Whose House Is It?
AEW fans will be in for a treat as “Absolute” Ricky Starks defends the FTW Championship on his show this Friday on Rampage against AEW’s hottest newcomer, Swerve Strickland. Swerve scored an impressive victory over Tony Nese in his in-ring AEW debut. However, do you know who’s not impressed? Ricky Starks. The Absolute One has had a clear distaste for AEW’s newest signees. It started with “Limitless” Keith Lee, and now he’s marked a new target in the form of Strickland.
Undeterred, Swerve made it explicitly clear that Stark’s second home of Texas will bear witness to a new champion this Friday on Rampage. Will Swerve Strickland’s word be gospel or will Ricky Starks’ win be absolute?
