Chris Dickinson Returns at NJPW STRONG Lone Star Shootout

Chris Dickinson returns vs Tomohiro Ishii Graphic

NJPW STRONG will be a part of this year’s WrestleCon with a special taping taking place at 5 PM on April 1. The first announced match serves as Chris Dickinson’s return to action, as he takes on NJPW stalwart Tomohiro Ishii. Dickinson was a regular presence on STRONG before suffering an injury in November.

Chris Dickinson Returns to The Ring Opposite Tomohiro Ishii

Dickinson was out of the action since November when he sustained an injury at the Battle in the Valley during a tag team matchup against the Stray Dog Army team of Bateman and Misterioso. The injury happened when Dickinson landed a frog splash on Bateman and was immediately in pain. The match ended less than a minute later with him being pinned. He stated that he suffered dislocation and fracture of the hip joint. Recently he posted a video announcing his return and challenging Ishii for his comeback match which is now official.

This is an exciting clash between the “dirty daddy” and NJPWs “storm pitbull”. Both men are strong, agile competitors who will not only dole out big hits but absorb them with glee. There is no better way for Dickinson to reintroduce himself to the wrestling world than this guaranteed show-stealer against Tomohiro Ishii.
