JONAH
For the very first time, powerful JONAH will step into the Bloodsport ring at the eighth edition of the event being held under Josh Barnett’s name. The show will take place Thursday, March 31 as a part of GCW’s Collective during the WrestleMania 38 weekend in Dallas, Texas. Jonah, who was formerly known as Bronson Reed during his WWE NXT stint made his way to IMPACT Wrestling and New Japan Strong amongst other independent promotions following his WWE release. No opponent has been announced yet, but TJP posted on Twitter that he’s willing to take on a powerhouse wrestler.
Timothy Thatcher
Another former WWE NXT superstar will show up at the event, namely Timothy Thatcher. A Bloodsport veteran, Thatcher sports a 1 – 3 record, with his first fight taking place way back at the very first event, then named after Matt Riddle, when he lost via TKO to Nick Gage. He returned to shoot the wrestling competition at the next edition of Bloodsport, which was the beginning of Josh Barnett’s era and lost to former NXT colleague, Hideki Suzuki. In his last appearance at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport 2, Thatcher defeated Japanese MMA legend, Ikuhisa Minowa.
