There has been a title change on tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The team known as Alpha Academy (Chad Gable and Otis) overcame RK-Bro (Randy Orton and Riddle) to become the new Raw Tag Team Champions – thus beginning their first title reign as a unit. It is also Gable’s third tag team title on the main roster, having formerly captured gold in teams with Robert Roode and Jason Jordan. For Otis, this is his first taste of gold in the WWE – though he did win Money in the Bank in 2020.
This title change may come as a surprise to many. Throughout much of the past year, RK-Bro have become established as a genuine fan-favorite team; with Randy Orton playing the straight man to Riddle’s goofball character almost seamlessly.
LOOK AT THAT FACE!
Congratulations @WWEGable & @otiswwe on becoming the NEW #WWERaw Tag Team Champions.

With WrestleMania fast approaching, however, it might appear that the team might just implode ahead of the event; with a match putting them against each other very much on the cards. This is pure speculation, however, and they very well might regroup and take another shot at their now former titles. In the meantime, and for the foreseeable future, it is Alpha Academy who will become the centerpiece of the Raw tag team division. As for RK-Bro, the horizons look murky and, if we know Randy Orton, things might be similarly murky for Riddle.
