Chicago-Made

CM Punk returns to the place where he made his triumphant wrestling comeback after seven long years. It just so happens to be his real home, the city of Chicago, Illinois. As he battles The Factory’s head honcho QT Marshall. Punk definitely had an eventful past few weeks. He battled Eddie Kingston in a personal brutal bloody contest back at Full Gear and came out on top. Then, a mere 4 days later on the following Dynamite, he just had to come out and laugh at the prospect of MJF stating he’s the “best professional wrestler in the world right now”. CM Punk, more often than not, pulls no punches. His silence and laughter at that very statement spoke volumes. Punk didn’t have to say anything as his face said it all. Punk scoffed at the idea that Maxwell Jacob Friedman really thinks he’s the best in the world right now.

Something tells us this is not over by a longshot. MJF was irate and livid after these events. And, we all know that MJF doesn’t just forget things like this, he acts on it. Judging by MJF’s reaction, to what he perceives as being disrespectful towards him, sooner rather than later he will get his revenge. For now, fans will be treated to their hometown hero facing off against a very capable and savvy veteran. It will be live nationwide only on TNT! The hometown crowd will be electric at the Thanksgiving edition of AEW Dynamite!

The Dragon’s Warpath

From one Chicago-born son to another, Colt Cobana of Dark Order will battle “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson on the Thanksgiving edition of AEW Dynamite! Last week, Danielson crashed the celebration, and “National Cowboy Sh-t Day”, of the newly-crowned AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page. Bryan stated he was very happy for Page, he finally won the big one after all the trials and tribulations. Bryan would also go on to say that he was very much disappointed because he wanted Kenny Omega to be the one that he faces off with. Hangman stated he earned the AEW World Title and beat Omega in under 30 minutes, unlike Danielson. More words were said shortly thereafter, and tensions ran high quickly.

Not long after they were pulled apart, the scheduled match between Danielson and Evil Uno would commence. It was a good back and forth for the majority of the match. But, as the climax drew near, things took a turn for the worst. Danielson brutalized Uno stomping his unconscious body until he was out cold. Not satisfied, Danielson locked the defenseless Evil Uno in a Triangle Choke and that was when the referee decided to immediately ring the bell for Uno’s safety. Shortly after the match, Bryan got on the mic and made a promise. Until the day he faces off with Adam Page for the AEW World Championship, he will go through each and every one of Page’s friends in The Dark Order. He wants to make a statement like he did last week to get into the head of the World Champion.

Bryan would then go on to challenge a Windy City-native in Colt Cabana. Danielson is looking to embarrass Colt in his hometown as well as send a message to Hangman in the process. With that being said, Colt Cabana is one accomplished professional wrestler and has the supreme skills to battle Danielson mano a mano. So, expect nothing less but a very competitive contest on this stacked episode of AEW Dynamite!
