Emi Sakura & Nyla Rose vs. Ryo Mizunami & Ruby Soho

The team of Emi Sakura and Nyla Rose has been taking on Ryo Mizunami and various partners in a series of tag team matches in recent weeks on AEW Dark and Dark: Elevation. Sakura and Rose have always had Lulu Pencil and Vickie Guerrero in their corner, but this week, they’ve added the presence of  Mei Suruga to their corner as well.

Suruga is the trainee of Emi Sakura, and is an up-and-coming star in Japan. She’s worked for numerous promotions in her short career including Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling, DDT Pro-Wrestling, Sendai Girls’ Pro Wrestling, and Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling. She made her AEW debut in February 2021 as part of the AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator Tournament, losing to Yuka Sakazaki in the first round. A couple of weeks later, she teamed up with Hikaru Shida and Rin Kadokura to defeat the team of Sakura, Maki Itoh, and VENY in a six-woman tag team match.

What impact will “Mei-chan” make when she’s in the corner of her Sakura and Nyla Rose when they face Mizunami and Ruby Soho? Tune into AEW Dark: Elevation to find out!
