On Pro Wrestling NOAH’s most recent show, Masaaki Mochizuki challenged for Takashi Sugiura’s GHC National Championship. This was Takashi Sugiura’s third title defense and was one of the first matches ever between these two veterans.
In the main event of Go on to the DEMOLITION STAGE, Masaaki Mochizuki and Takashi Sugiura would put on an emotional contest. The end result would be Takashi Sugiura losing the GHC National Championship to Dragon Gate legend Masaaki Mochizuki. This marks Mochizuki’s first singles championship win in Pro Wrestling NOAH with his last championship run in the company being a brief run as GHC Tag Team Champion in 2020 with Naomichi Marufuji.

Masaaki Mochizuki is one of the first outside talents to hold the GHC National Championship, with his main affiliation being with Dragon Gate. After defeating Sugiura, Mochizuki was challenged by Kongoh’s leader, Kenoh, who recently invaded Dragon Gate and threw down a challenge for their tag belts.
Kenoh and Masaaki Mochizuki wrestle against one another in the most recent N-1 Victory. Kenoh would defeat Mochizuki to go to the semi-finals and eventually ended as the runner-up of the tournament. This will mark the third singles match between them, with the record between them at 1-1 so far. This match will feature two of the hardest strikers in Pro Wrestling NOAH facing off on a major stage. It was recently announced that this match will take place at NOAH’s conclusion event for the DEMOLITION STAGE tour on November 13 in the Yokohama Budokan.
