History was made Thursday. The first-ever winner of the Queen’s Crown tournament has been crowned as Zelina Vega defeated Doudrop in the finals at Crown Jewel. The win for Vega marks the conclusion of the eight-women tournament that was to serve as the women’s version of the King of the Ring tournament. Vega won the match when she hit a picture-perfect Code Red to Doudrop, knocking her out for the three seconds that she needed to get the pin.

Zelina Vega defeated Toni Storm and Carmella to get to the finals of the tournament while Doudrop defeated Natalya and pulled off the massive upset over Shayna Baszler. Their match at Crown Jewel was the longest of the entire tournament as both women gave it their all to make the best final possible.
Vega’s victory now furthers the question as to what the new Queen has in store. She will be heading to Raw officially this coming Monday, meaning the likes of Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, and many more will have to deal with her reign as Queen. Perhaps, this is the launching point that she needed to get her second run in WWE back on track. Vega had a tough go in her first few matches but has now found her winning ways and could become a title challenger soon enough.
