The First Fight

“Hangman” Adam Page and Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship is set in stone for Full Gear on November 13th. Whoever comes out of that war won’t have a minute to breathe, as their next challenger will already be determined by then as Tony Khan announced an AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament – wherein the winner of said tournament will face either Omega or Page for the AEW World Title down the line. It sent fans buzzing with excitement when the bracket was unveiled for this tourney on Saturday’s AEW Dynamite. The likes of Jon MoxleyDark Order’s 10Dustin RhodesBryan DanielsonLance Archer, Eddie Kingston and, the two men that will face of in this first round match-up on Rampage, Orange Cassidy and Powerhouse Hobbs.

Cassidy challenged for the AEW World Title once before. He will, surely, want the opportunity to do it again and come out on top this time. Hobbs, on the other hand, for the first time in his young AEW career, has the chance to step onto the big stage and possibly compete for the world championship, if he manages to run the gauntlet and win the tournament. Expect this to be nothing less of “competitive”. Once the bell sounds, the gloves come off because this is a shot of a lifetime for both men even though this is just the first of many hurdles on their way to a date with destiny. Will Orange Cassidy survive and move on to the next round or will Powerhouse Hobbs overpower “Freshly Squeezed” and be the first man to advance?

Slaying The Queen

The Dark Order didn’t have the best of luck last Saturday night on Dynamite. Despite an impressive showing, they would fall to the SuperKliq in six-man tag team action. Backstage, Dark Order’s #99 Anna Jay would be interviewed by Tony Schiavone on her thoughts about the loss. But, she barely got a word in before she would be interrupted by AEW Women’s World Champion Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. Britt called her Dark Order brothers “losers” and that they were just not cut out to handle Elite talents such as Adam Cole and The Young Bucks. Baker would go on further, saying Jay was also a “loser” in associating with the faction. Anna Jay took exception to this and defended The Dark Order’s honor by laying it into the AEW Women’s World Champion.

They would trade shots left and right and a major fight broke out. It looks like that will not be the end of it; a grudge match between the two was sanctioned for this Friday night on Rampage. Baker will surely be seeking revenge for that attack. Jay is undoubtedly in fight mode after the remarks Britt made last Saturday. Two of the most talented competitors in the AEW Women’s ranks collide this Friday night only on Rampage.
